Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh recently announced his wedding date and shared that he will marry his fiance Hazel Keech in the first week of December. However, he didn't quite reveal how he proposed to his lady love.
But now, through a sources' exclsuive chat with a daily and his appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, the most intimate details of his proposal and how long he waited to actually asked for her hand in marriage in the most desi way have been revealed!
A source close to the couple revealed that Singh took almost three years before he could convince Keech to meet him for coffee.
"He revealed that for the first three years, he kept trying to get her to meet him for coffee. She would agree every time he messaged her, but on the appointed day, she would switch off her phone and not turn up," said the source.
He also added that Singh, who is traditional at heart then took almost one year to finally meet her in person. But once they met, they decided to spend time and got to know each other. Soon after, Singh decided to meet Keech's parents to ask for her hand in marriage.
This was proof that Singh wanted to take the traditional route and first approach her parents and take permission for the wedding.

Keech doesn't really know much about Singh's games!
However, the couple who seem much-in-love and quite compatible had a rather embarrassing moment on the show when Keech was quizzed about Singh's famous sixes against England.
"When quizzed on the show she didn't even know against which team Yuvraj had hit his famous six sixes in an over. When Kapil mentioned that it was against England, she was surprised as she is British herself and Yuvraj joked that he has stopped discussing cricket with her," the source revealed.
But it seems that this is just a funny anecdote they will probably remember in the future. For now the couple's priority is their impending nuptials.
Big fat Punjabi wedding
Sources close to the couple reveal that since the two come from different backgrounds their wedding would include a combination of Punjabi and UP rituals, since Keech's mother hails from Uttar Pradesh.
“We have decided to sort of incorporate a bit of both. We’ve decided to have small, intimate Sikh and Hindu wedding ceremonies, followed by a big sangeet and then a bigger reception,” the couple revealed in an interview earlier this year.
But so far the two haven't revealed more than this about their big fat Punjabi wedding. The only thing Singh recently told a daily was, "I'm afraid that if I speak too much, too many people may land up at the venue and I may not get entry myself."
Well, we are sure they are planning something so grand that it'll sweep us off the floor.
