How sweet! Guess what Rani Mukerji's daughter Adira Chopra's first word was!

How sweet! Guess what Rani Mukerji's daughter Adira Chopra's first word was!How sweet! Guess what Rani Mukerji's daughter Adira Chopra's first word was!

A precious milestone for any mother!

Her baby's first words are definitely precious for a mother and if they happen to be something you are waiting to hear from your little one's mouth, then your joy knows no bounds.

That's what happened with new mummy and Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji when her daughter first started talking. Currently, Adira only talks to her mumma through her cute expressions and by using throwing in a few words here and there, says Rani. But her first word was definitely for her gorgeous mummy. Yes, that's right!

How sweet! Guess what Rani Mukerjis daughter Adira Chopras first word was!

Adira's first word was 'mama'

"Right now the only communication she has is through expressions... and a few words... She says a lot of things. ‘Mama’ was her first word. She also says ‘Papa’, ‘Nana’, ‘tortoise’, ‘turtle’, and ‘tractor’!" she told a leading national daily.

On being asked if Adira would be accompanying her to the sets of her comeback film Hichki, Rani said that she would not like to move Adira from her comfort zone that happens to be her home.

"If you put your child in a space where he or she is not comfortable, the child is going to be irritated and throw a fit. Especially when the child cannot express that in words. When she starts talking then she can express things to me," she said.

Rani's conversations about Adira hint at her being overprotective of her daughter as any other new mother would be. Previously also she had mentioned that she doesn't really like to share Adira's picture on social media.

“I’m not on social media. I don’t post pictures of my daughter because my husband is a very private person and I respect that. Also, I don’t like saying no to my fans, especially when they ask me to post pictures,” she explained during the interaction.

But when it comes to being an involved dad, Adi Chopra is still learning to be a father, says Rani.

"In the morning, he has his time with Adira. He has breakfast with her and he takes her for a walk. I am trying to inculcate that in him, so the bond grows and he keeps teasing me, ‘Once Adira grows up, she is going to be my baby and my girl. Enjoy the time now.’ He is crazy about her, but I would not say that his life revolves around Adira now. But I would say he is getting there," he had said in a recent interview.

Teaching your baby to talk

It's exciting for any parent to finally see all the baby gurgles and babbles converted to proper words. However, your baby might take some time to properly say his first words. Here's how you can help them:

1. Talk with them: Make it a habit to teach new words every day by pointing out the different objects in your toddler's environment. Also, talk to your child as you would to another adult so that he knows what's right and what's wrong!

2. Keep it simple: If you can, use simple words and short sentences to make it easier for your toddler to grasp what you’re saying.

3. Practice and repeat: Sometimes, your child might say nana instead of banana or ani instead of pani. In such cases, take their cue and help him say the word again and again. He would finally grasp it.
