5 things only a working mom would understand

30 Oct, 2015

A mum is always running against time. We share with some woes of a working mother that you would definitely relate to

How many of these do you relate to?

How many of these do you relate to?

I often feel that giving birth is just a miracle in the world when I see my little one moving around and talking about her whims and fancies. But being a working mom, I have lately realised certain other aspects of motherhood which makes me re-think on the fact whether I am doing justice to my career, household and the KID.

Well, let me shed some light on the woes of a working mother. Start GALLERY.

Miss kids

Miss kids

This is one of the biggest struggle of a mother who has to leave her little one back at home. How much ever supportive the family or efficient the nanny is, the anxiety continues the whole day.

There are times when you really want to stop all your work and rush back home to see your darling’s face for no reason. It is certainly not easy to go to work when you know he might me missing you as well.

Tired, yet move on

Tired, yet move on

With a toddler to be sent to school daily, it is no easy task to get up in the morning, cook for your family and deck up your kid for the school. There must be moms who may be dropping their little ones to school too on their way to work.

So, have you ever imagined the amount of energy they need to rush in the morning hours. Yes, these super-women do get tired and exhausted till half day already and often have no energy left by the evening.

However, whatever may it be, they still move on for the other list of tasks waiting for them when they reach home.

Lack of time for school activities

Lack of time for school activities

With hordes of activities and skill-based projects being the part of the education system these days, schools give exposure to kids in almost every sphere, be it public speaking, extra-curriculum or academic extras. This is where the working women feel helpless often, since they have less time to spend with their kids and prepare them for the same.
Me-time needed

Me-time needed

With highly hectic lifestyle, working mom require their Me-Time. The families at home may not realise this and assume that they are at least away from the kid’s tantrums and hence free.

However, the pressure of not being able to spend time with her little one and struggling with the other walks of life is enough to ask for a me-time where she can be herself and do what she wants to do.

Kids are not the only happiness always

Kids are not the only happiness always

Off lately, I have observed that moms staying more with their kids want to be more closer to them contrary to the working mothers, who may not be happy staying with their little ones for too long.

You might find it contradicting to that fact working mums miss their kids, but at the same time, it is true that they don’t want or rather do not have patience to stay with them for too long. Yes, that’s right.

Since, we do not have the habit of handling kid’s tantrums for long and spend less time with them, we often get annoyed soon with the crankiness or crabbiness the kids throw. On the other hand, stay-at-home moms believe that a mere loss of sight on their kid would create mess and they will lose everything in life, be it morale, etiquettes or what not.

Oh God!! This is the reaction a working mom will give to a stay-at-home mom for being so possessive and over-indulgent.

Disclaimer: These are all my observations and general depiction of woes of a working mom. They may be different for different people and thus, consider them as mere examples.
