This Indian grand mother has taken the internet by storm by her swift martial art moves. We're talking about 76-year-old Meenakshi, who has broken the internet by fighting with a man who's half her age in a video.
The video shows a sari-clad Meenakshi performing a series of quick manoeuvre against her opponent displaying her flexibility and talent to the core.
Meenakshi teaches Kalaripayattu, an ancient traditional martial art form which is still practiced in Kerala. Kalaripayattu uses sticks, swords, daggers and shields. She began learning at the age of six, and has now been practicing it for nearly 68 years.
“Kalari demands dedication and discipline. The aspirants must try to achieve mastery over their body movements and balance in their training period," Meenakshi told mashable.com.
"At this age I could easily perform Kalari because of the physical fitness I gained through practice,”she said.
The super cool granny teaches Kalaripayattu to around 150 students in her school in Vatakara in Kerala and interestingly takes no fees for the training. Around a third of the students are girls..
