Twinkle Khanna asks the most hilarious question about Karva Chauth and we bet you'll laugh out loud reading it too!

Trust Twinkle Khanna to tickle your funny bones and make you laugh out loud. She not only infuses her crazy sense of humour in her books, but also keeps everybody hooked with her Twitter banter.

Take for instance, her recent take on the festival of Karva Chauth, which most women including B-town bahus celebrated with much gusto. While many people debated about its relevance and rationality even today, Twinkle took the cake with her take on the festival- all in good humour, of course!

Let's not forget, she is the same person who in her book Mrs Funnybones, described her own experience of Karva Chauth. She explained how she got up at the "ungodly" hour of 5 am to eat her sargi and waited for the moon in the evening, with baited breath and a husband in tow.

She tickled quite a few funny bones with this tweet that read: “These days by 40 u could be on the way to your 2nd marriage so what’s the point of fasting-don’t need the men to last that long anymore.”

Needless to say, her humour won her even more fans who understood the spirit in which she tweeted. But there were few who seem to have taken the humour to heart and responded with their own takes. One among them was Amit Khemka (who will be very popular now!).

In response to Khanna's tweet he asked: "what if it works out n he died coz u didn’t fast ….optimism n positive thinking missing.”

But give it to Khanna to do her homework and make a comeback with an even funnier response. True to her inimitable funny style she responded: “That is a possibility-so I checked longevity records-100 countries where men without anyone fasting for them live longer than Indian men."

This response however, didn't come out of the blue. She has written sometime similar in her book.

"I scan the list, confident that in this chart of life expectancy, the Indian man must definitely be in the top 5. Nope! There are 146 countries above us where the men have longer lifespans, and the biggest blow is that even with four wives who don’t fast for them, the Arab men outlive our good old Indian dudes," she has written.

Whose side are you on anyway? We will let you decide. For now, we can safely say that the confidence that Twinkle Khanna exuberates is something we are sure she will pass on to her four-year-old daughter, Nitara.
