Gautam Rhode became a household name after his debut with the super hit show Saraswati Chandra. However, the 40-year-old TV heartthrob would no longer be a bachelor now as reports say that he is all set to tie the know with Suryaputra Karna co-star, Pankhuri Awasthi.
But the shocking thing is that there is a twenty year age gap between Gautam and Pankhuri. Yes, that's right!
Gautam met Pankhuri on the sets of Suryaputra Karn, the mythological show where he played Karna and she Draupadi and it is on there that their love blossomed.

The ideal age gap between couples
There has been a lot of debate over what exactly should be the ideal age gap between couples and while many today don't give it much importance, there are some who feel that it should be five years and not more than that as over a period of time the husband becomes more like a father-figure for the wife.
- Also, since the couple belongs to different generations there can be a lot of arguments and conflict of thoughts on the day to day issues.
- Others say that having an older husband means that you have a mature and understanding partner which can benefit in the long run.
- And then there are some who feel that the age gap is immaterial and there are so many factors that lead to a happy marriage.
All we can say is, to each his own!
