Tiger and dad Jackie Shroff are the funniest father-son duo! Here's proof

It was their crazy banter and camaraderie onscreen that tickled our funny bones and conveniently made them top our list of funniest father-son duos

This past weekend, the Indian television audience became privy to the personal lives of 90s star Jackie Shroff and his star son Tiger.

The father-son duo who appeared on the new episode of Koffee With Karan, seemed poles apart from each other. Where Tiger was cool as a cucumber, Jackie was the quintessential 90s stud, mischievous on his own way.

They both seemed at ease with each other and quite frankly delivered the funniest episode till date. The two even shared intimate details about their crushes and loves and were made privy to a special message from Tiger's mum, Ayesha Shroff.

Funny is as funny does!

It was their crazy banter and camaraderie onscreen that tickled our funny bones and conveniently made them top our list of funniest father-son duos. Sample this:

When Tiger Shroff was asked about his first crush, he said, "I used to have a crush on Shraddha Kapoor." To which Jackie responded, "Oh! I didn't know that." Then Tiger reiterated that he had shared this with him, to which Jackie said, "I thought it was the other one, Pipi? Palo? I don't knot the name."

Poor Tiger had to then say, "That was in Kindergarten."

In the rapid fire round Tiger was asked what was the one thing from sex, relationship and diplomacy that he wouldn't like to discuss with his father. He responded, "Sex, definitely. That's so embarrassing!"

When Jackie was asked who was his favourite actor, a sexy siren, 'girl next door,' the favourite Khan, all he said was "Madhuri Dixit!"

The emotional duo

The two also displayed their emotional side, when they were shown a video of Ayesha Shroff who thanked them both for being in her life. In her video she said, "There was a particular incident she narrated emotionally of when the distributors backed out of her film Boom (2002) and it was Jackie, who stood up for her. He said that it is our family's honour and they put their house on the line to finance the movie."

She added that her doting son Tiger had also promised, "I'm going to buy back that house." The episode was a clear show of how this funny father-son duo gets along well and the fact that Tiger's politeness shows us just how we must raise our sons.

3 things fathers must teach their sons

While there are many things a mother can teach her son, there are a few pertinent values that only a father can teach his son. These are values that are taught more through leading by example and can help a man go a long way in his life.

  • Politeness: There is never a bad time to be polite and it is one valuable lesson that fathers must teach their sons. Being polite, whether to our subordinates, our friends and family or even our peers goes a long way and reflects a cultured upbringing. Plus, one must remember that if you are polite to others, they'll reciprocate the same behaviour.
  • Chivalry: A gentleman doesn't always need to open a door for a lady, but if he does offer to, it is a sign of chivalry. There is nothing wrong with being courteous and it shows that one is well-mannered and can carry himself well outside. It also means that they are considerate and and it's another valuable life lesson all kids must learn from their fathers.
  • Gratitude: This is one moral value that parents must teach their kids, irrespective of their gender. Gratitude helps us weigh in why we may be better off and how we can therefore, help those who many not be in the same position as us. It also helps us get more clarity on our life goals and how we want to achieve them.
