Looks like, new dad Shahid Kapoor is following this important parenting lesson to a T!

The doctors always recommend it. The parents who practice it with their kids can’t stop raving about its many benefits. And looks like, new dad Shahid Kapoor too is following this important parenting lesson to a T!

In a recent picture posted on Instagram, dad Shahid is seen playing with his soon-to-be-one-year-old daughter Misha in the playground with a big white ball. Misha too is looking pleased at punch enjoying kicking the ball around in a playground.

On why this dad-daughter duo picture is important is because it shows us how it is indeed important to let your kid have some outdoorsy fun every single day.

Say yes to outdoor play

According to pediatricians every growing up child must play, run or participate in some form of physical exercise at least for an hour every day.

If the children are too small to play outside on their own, every parent no matter how busy should take out some time to ensure that their kids not only exert themselves by doing some form of physical activity but also get some fresh air no matter what the season is.

Of course, parents can play caution and choose the time of the day according to the season. For instance, early afternoons in winters and evenings during the summer months are the best times to take kids for some outdoorsy fun.

Dad Shahid Kapoor shows us that if he can take out time to play with his daughter despite his hectic shooting schedule, we too should take out time and ensure our kids do not compromise on this very important activity.

And she learns how to clap. ???

Researches have indicated that kids who regularly take part in some form of physical activity have less chances of developing childhood obesity and also display better concentration.

Nutritionists’ also say that there is a direct link between physical output and dietary intake. By performing mild to medium form of activity kids are able to burn up their stored fat and naturally end up eating better.

playtime more beneficial

Apart from physical benefits, a child learns ad grasps much better when he/she is exposed to the outside world. Psychologists claim that children learn many a life skills simply by observing things around them when we take them out.

So, which parent would really want to deny a fun activity that guarantees so many important benefits to their kids?

Just like Shahid and Mira who time and again prove that they turn no stones unturned to ensure that their little one gets the best and the most rooted upbringing, its time for all of us who may be lax about outdoor playground sessions to pick up our sneakers and get going with our kids in tow!

Some fun outdoor play ideas

1. Add variety: For most kids an outdoor session that sounds as simple as taking a walk can never sound entertaining enough. So it is best to introduce newer play ideas to ensure they look forward to their outdoors session everyday.

For your ease you can actually draw a timetable for instance: Tic-Tac-toe – Mondays, Jumping with the music –Tuesdays and so on.

2. Create an outdoor playgroup: Having a motivation always helps and if you have a group you are more likely to follow the routine dedicatedly.

You can create a local Facebook group and you all can meet and play together with your kids on an everyday basis. More people will also create more ideas and the kids will have a better time bonding with each other.
