We all know that Shilpa Shetty Kundra, like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, totally believes in passing on traditional values and customs to her child. Shilpa also strongly believes in staying together as a family and why kids must learn to respect their elders at a very young age.
So when she was leaving for her Christmas vacation to London with hubby Raj Kundra and son, little Viaan made sure that he touched his nani's feet and take her blessings before leaving to the UK. Check out the pictures!
Isn't that a really sweet gesture from a four-year-old? Shilpa was leaving for her annual Christmas vacation to London as her hubby Raj Kundra was originally settled there before marrying Shilpa Shetty. Shilpa had even posted a few pics after she reached London, where she is seen shopping for a Christmas tree.

So Aishwarya and little Aaradhya were leaving for Cannes, when Aaradhya suddenly remembered that she had not touched her Nana's feet and she quickly ran to finish the job. Needless to say, her Nanu was quite happy at this gesture and afterwards even Aishwarya touched her father's feet.

Teaching kids to respect elders
Both Aishwarya and Shilpa are indeed showing the world that it is essential for kids to respect elders and pass on the necessary sanskaar to their kids early on as that is when you build a strong foundation. Here's how you can also teach your kids to respect your elders:
1.Practice what you preach: It would be a farce if you only talk about respect and not follow the same in reality. Make sure you are courteous and polite to your elders at home, especially in front of your kids. Don't forget that kids closely watch their parents and follow them blindly.
2. Be patient and consistent: It can indeed be a trying task to teach kids to pick up a habit and needless to say that they take their own sweet time. While we as adults are in a hurry to finish things, parents must understand that kids take time and the key lies in being patient and consistent.
3. Give them opportunities to practice it: Spend time with your family and make sure that your elders are with your kids so that they get the time to warm up to them and establish a bond.
