It is shocking how your marital relationships can affect your friendship. But what happened with Kajol and Karan Johar would stun you! Yes, that's right.
We all know that Kajol and Karn Johar were best of pals quite some time back, so much so that Karan never released any movie of his without a guest appearance from Kajol.
Remember how Kajol had shed weight to do a two-second jig in the song Rock and Roll Soniye for the movie Kabhi Alvida Na Kehnaa and also made a two-second appearance in the Disco song from the Student Of The Year. Karan also always maintained that Kajol was his lucky mascot and somehow she brings good luck to him and his movies.

But something just changed overnight and the friendship that was once considered to be forever, hit a rocky patch and soon the two friends drifted apart. The first signs of the rift were noticed when Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was set to release at the same day as Ajay Devgn's Shivaay.
In fact, Ajay Devgn also talked about it at one of the film's promotional events. “I am not friends with him (Karan). Even Kajol’s equation is not as warm as it was. It is a personal issue… not due to any professional thing. It’s a personal hurtful feeling. It has nothing to do with the clash. I would not like to talk about it," Ajay had said at that time.
However, Kajol and Karan Johar fans were still hoping that something might just work out for the two and they would be friends again. But now Karan Johar has bared it all and has said that he has not emotions, whatsoever, for Kajol. He has also given the reasons for the rift in their friendship and they would really bring tears to your eyes.
Continue reading on the next page to know what are the reasons of the rift in Karan Johar's own words!
In Karan Johar's still-to-be-released autobiography The Unsuitable Boy, Karan says that Ajay Devgn has caused a rift between Kajol and him and things have gotten so bitter between the two that nothing can help them patch up.
The bitterness and anger are evident in Karan's tone when he says: "I don't have a relationship with Kajol anymore. We've had a fallout. Something happened that disturbed me deeply."
Karan also goes on to say that the problem was never between Kajol and him. "The problem was between her husband and me, something which only he knows about, she knows about and I know about. I want to keep it at that. I felt that if she's not going to acknowledge 25 years of friendship, if she wants to support her husband, that's her prerogative. At some outer level I understood it," he adds.
He also goes on to say that during the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Hai-Shivaay clash Ajay Devgn had blamed Karan for paying small-time actor Kamaal R Khan to write bad reviews for the movie. While Karan didn't really care what Ajay had to say about him, it was Kajol's one-word tweet that caused the damage.
This is the tweet that Kajol had sent out!
Until that Tweet, Karan says that he still has some hope of them getting back together, but that proved to be the last nail in the coffin. "That was the most humiliating thing she could have done for a person who loved her so deeply. That broke me. She's killed every bit of emotion I had for her for twenty-five years. I don't think she deserved me, " says Karan.
Balancing friends and family
Kajol is the perfect example how married women have to change their priorities and often make a tough choice when it comes to choosing their friends and family, especially husband. There are many women who completely give up on their friends and social life after their marriage as they're afraid that it would cause a rift between them and their husbands.
However, both the relationships can be easily managed, if you make an effort and be a little careful. Sadly, Kajol didn't make that effort. Do you think she could have done something? Tell us.
