This is the story of Ankita and Faiz, MBAs from IIM Indore, who were madly in love with each other. But Ankita is Hindu and Faiz is Muslim.

Their parents were dead against the interfaith marriage. “We tried for around 3 years to convince them, and finally decided that life has to move on,” Ankita told Wed Me Good.

A month after their court marriage, they took sixty of their closest friends to Goa to celebrate their union.

The wedding was spread over two days.

The first day had a Mehendi and a sangeet followed by the nikah following Faiz’s Islamic roots.

The next day, they had a beautiful Hindu ceremony right on the beach.

“After an hour of laughs and jokes and ‘reeti-riwaaz’, we were finally married in all possible ways,” said Ankita.
