4 things all brides-to-be must learn from the newly-married Anushka Sharma

#1. Bride doesn't mean bright

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli's wedding pics are all over social media and while we agree that they look straight out of a fairytale, Anushka Sharma as a confident new bride definitely steals the show.

Wearing a pastel colour bridal lehenga with no makeup at all, Anushka clearly shatters all the myths associated with over-the-top desi bridal looks and clearly sets new trends.

Here are a few things all brides-to-be must learn from the ravishing new bride Anushka Sharma:

1. Bride doesn't mean bright

Like it or not, when it comes to choosing the wedding lehenga or attire most brides end up going for red, maroon, bright pink or shades of these same colours, but one look at Anushka Sharma and we all will agree that pastel colours can also work for you and, in fact, make you stand apart.

Anushka ditched the reds and the greens and wore a pale-pink lehenga with delicate embroidery instead. The lehenga was of course designed by none other than Sabyasachi and its vintage colours and embroidery gave it a royal look.

"She flaunted a pale pink lehenga with Renaissance embroidery in vintage English colours embellished with silver-gold metal thread, pearls, and beads. Bridal jewellery handcrafted with syndicate uncut diamonds, pale pink spinel and baroque Japanese cultured pearls by the Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry collection," said an Instagram post by the designer Sabyasachi Mukherji.

Virat, on the other hand, wore an ivory raw silk sherwani hand-embroidered in a vintage Benarasi pattern that he combined with a pink kota safa.

2. Be a "no lipstick bride"

Recent bridal trends have been shifting from an over-the-top makeup look to more of pastel and natural hues for your lips, eyes, and cheeks. And Anushka Sharma just proves that you can actually be a "no-lipstick bride".

What's more, she's just sporting a small, dark maroon bindi on her forehead to complete the look. That's something that really makes her look resplendent as she was flaunting heavy jewellery and too much of makeup would have just ruined her overall look.

3. Your smile is your best jewel

Ditch the heavy makeup and just sport your best smile as you walk the aisle towards the man on your dreams. During all her pre-wedding events also Anushka is seen in minimal makeup and just had her best smile on her face, which perhaps made her the best bride of 2017.

4. Walk the aisle alone

Another video from the Virushka wedding that's trending big time, is the one where Anushka is walking the aisle towards Virat, but unlike any other bride, she is all alone.

Anushka has no bridesmaid or friends by her side, and she confidently walks toward her groom and she conveys a very strong message to all brides-to-be out there.

You don't need anyone to protect you or hold you during tough times, or otherwise. You can do it yourself, just like Anushka Sharma!
