Indian women often sacrifice their career owing to marriage, motherhood and even mobility. But while some of them get the opportunity to rejoin workforce, many are left in the lurch due to their many years of 'sabbatical,' and changing landscapes of their industry.
In a study by the Center for Talent Innovation (CTI) it was revealed that in India, about 36 percent women take a break from work for personal reasons and only 58 percent of them are able to rejoin full time work.
However, there are several international tech companies that are willing to absorb talent irrespective of their gender or status of sabbatical. And it only comes as good news as five technology-based companies have thrown open their doors for such talented women, most of whom are mothers and caregivers to the elderly.
