The next generation of star kids are quickly following Sara Ali Khan's suit and are all set to make a huge splash in the academic circles

Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan, just graduated from the prestigious Columbia University, US, and it seems everybody is thrilled with her achievement.

In fact, designer Sandeep Khosla, who is a close friend of Sara’s mum and actress Amrita Singh, could not contain his excitement. He shared an adorable picture from her graduation on his Instagram account.

He writes: “Ourbestfriendsdaughter #graduation #Columbia #university #nyc #saraalikhan #lookingfabulous #bigday @amrita40 #loveyouall #abujanisandeepkhosla #fashion #style #couture #future #bollywood #actor #future #gennext #allthebest #always”

Although with Sara’s academic background one would assume she would go into the corporate field, the situation is quite the opposite. She intends to work as a actor just like her star parents.

In an interview to NDTV, Saif Ali Khan was quoted as saying, “Look at Soha (his sister). She has a degree from London School of Economics and she is now into movies. I think the girls in my family think this (Bollywood) is far more fun. Yes, perhaps it is,” he said.

And, by the looks of Khosla’s post, she maybe a “#future #bollywood #actor…” That looks like more than a hint!

But Sara is not the only star kid with enviable academic credentials.

The next generation of star kids are quickly following suit and are all set to make a huge splash in the academic circles.

Last year, Nanda was chosen as one of debutants for the prestigious Paris’s le Bal des Debutantes (also known as le Bal). This ball is held annually to mark the debuts of 20-25 youngsters from pedigreed families across the world. In 2015, it was held on November 28, and while Nanda was preparing for the same, she pulled out at the last minute.

In an email reponse, the organisers of le Bal des Debutantes told ETPanache, “Due to the attacks in Paris, Navya Nanda’s parents decided to cancel her participation. Fortunately, this was the only cancellation and the event went well, especially for Payal Mehta (the official jeweller for the event).”

Nanda is also a piano player and recently surprised her grandfather, Amitabh Bachcahn with a small recital.

“Look what took its place the entire day… The life to witness the gift of a grand daughter, of her accomplishments, of her talents… That is more than what many wish and possess,” Amitabh Bachchan posted on his blog.

Clearly, she is more talent than meets the eye!

Rene has often expressed her desire to be a part of Bollywood, but her doting mum is more interested in having her make academic accomplishments.

Speaking to the Indian Express last year, Sen was quoted as saying, ““I will not encourage her to do anything in life that she doesn’t want to. But I just have one condition and that is she should complete her education before deciding what she wants to do. I had just passed my 12th and immediately entered Miss India. Although God has been very kind to me, it took 10 years for me to stand on my own feet and think independently that I can do this. When I used to see others with PhDs and Masters and having graduated out of big Universities in which ironically I have now delivered lectures, I used to feel bad about not having completed my studies. So it’s is my desire that my children should get a good degree.”

Just a few days back, Sen was seen at Rene’s annual day function and delivered an inspirational speech.

#5 Araav Bhatia

Son of Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna, Araav Bhatia, is currently studying at the Oberoi International School, Goregaon. He is known to won several medals in karate championships and also holds a gold medal at the All India Kudo National Championship.

“I hope he does because this industry is great. It’s a very welcoming industry and it’s given food and shelter to me and my family for years now. But I will just tell him one thing that he will have to make his own mark. I am there to guide him, help him but he has to do everything here on his own. But that’s thinking too far. He is a teenager. Let him finish his studies,” he was quoted as saying.

Well, going by his good looks, it won’t be difficult to imagine him as the ‘hero material!’
