Pregnancy clearly suits the radiant Soha Ali Khan. She looks breathtaking every time she steps out and always keeps her maternity looks simple and low-key.
And in doing so, she has managed to lead a 'normal' and non-celeb like pregnancy, mostly away from the flashing cameras and the hounding paparazzi. This has also helped her enjoy her pregnancy to the tee.
But after several months of keeping most candid details of her pregnancy under wraps, Soha has finally revealed some of the most interesting incidents that happened to her in the past six months.
"Kunal makes me feel like a yummy mummy"
During an event recently, the heavily pregnant and fit mum-to-be revealed that pregnancy has changed her completely, thanks to her hubby as well.
"Pregnancy changes a woman not just physically, but also emotionally. It is important that a mother feels calm and stress-free at all times. This is where fathers can play an important part," shared the yummy mummy-to-be.
She added that while pregnancy is a time when the limelight on the woman, it is the partner who also plays a crucial role. She said that in that regard she felt Kunal had done a fabulous role.
“Kunal and I have been together for nine years now. We feel very blessed and were ready for this phase in our life. But I haven’t felt alone at all…Kunal has been extremely supportive of me in this journey and takes care of me in all way possible and makes me feel like a yummy mummy…I have my and Kunal’s family. Kunal has been a wonderful partner and this phase can be overwhelming for the to-be mother and father. He has done very well,” she shared.

The 38-year-old also shared a story about the time she wasn't feeling well during her pregnancy and how that led to Kunal developing a sour tooth.
“I wasn’t feeling well, so we ordered a jar of Imli candy. There would have been around 500 candies in that jar. You’ll be surprised to know that Kunal ate all the candies. Because of eating 25 candies in a day, he suffered from sour tooth," she shared, added that even so he has been super supportive and helpful.
"The least a man can do is just extend his support"
During the interaction Kunal shared that he also felt as pregnant as Soha.
“Even I feel pregnant just like my wife," he said, adding, “You can say that I am part of this, but actually all the headaches, backaches, nausea… this woman is going through.”
He further added that since the man is not physically carrying the child, the least he can do is be supportive towards his wife right from pregnancy and onwards.
“The least a man can do is just extend his support. The actual partnership happens when the baby comes out. So, I am trying my best to be the supportive and silent partner," he shared. And we couldn't agree more. But there is more than just being supportive, especially when it comes to taking care of the baby and the new mum.
There are many ways in which new dads can help new mums care for themselves as well as the baby.
3 things new dads must do to help new mums
- Take your wife out on dates: Just as soon as couples become parents, their baby becomes their first priority. They willingly devote their time and effort to raise their little bub, but often times forget about each other. But don't forget your wife and help her relax whenever you can.
- Acknowledge your wife's effort: Never leave an opportunity to praise your wife and thank her for making you more happy and stable. New fathers must take a cue from this and learn that appreciating the wife, especially when she has just become a mum can boost her confidence and make her feel loved.
- Contribute in parenting duties: Most urban Indian fathers have become hands-on, since they like to help their wives with parenting duties. This is also an important if you want to keep the romance alive. By simply doing their own parenting duties, new fathers can help their wives relax and feel ready to take on further responsibilities.
