Shilpa Shetty Kundra's love for fitness and Indian food is no secret. She follows a strict exercise regime and stays away from oily food. But there are days when she probably junks both to indulge in her favourite spicy Indian snack.
This particular is her go-to and she absolutely swears by it. If you haven't guessed it yet, let us tell you that we are talking about the good old spicy gol gappas!
The 40-year-old yummy mummy absolutely swears by this snack and just cannot get enough of it!
And like a true blue foodie, she doesn't shy away from sharing her love for them as well. Take a look at what she shared on her Instagram account over the weekend.
This, she called her "fav tea time snack" on a previous occasion as well.
Shetty maybe a yoga practitioner, businesswoman, actor, full-time mother and a health advocate, but she is also a self-confessed foodie. And her biggest love is the great Indian diet, which she credits to having helped her loose weight post-pregnancy.
In fact, she authored her first book book titled The Great Indian Diet to bring the focus back on Indian kitchen for fitness.
In an interview to a daily, she had mentioned, "I have tried to bust pre-conceived notions about Indian food. People think Indian food is fattening and high on sodium, which is untrue. A simple dish like rajma chawal is a complete meal; it has the right amount of protein, nine amino acids; it's equivalent to eating an egg. But people are tucking into quinoa instead."
She voraciously advocates the use of Indian food to stay healthy and often shared her own diet recipes on her social media account. Take a look at some of the Indian snacks that she loves to indulging in every other day.
She followed a strict diet post pregnancy as well, but mentions that it was her discipline that really got her to loose all the baby weight.
"When I was losing weight after my pregnancy, I would eat nearly four eggs a day. Eggs keep your stomach full for longer. When you are trying to lose a lot of weight, you always stress about not getting to have food. This results in your body producing extra cortisol, slowing down metabolism. Eating has a lot more to do with your mind than your stomach. Don't tell yourself that you are dieting," she mentioned.

Shetty often advocates that one should continue to feed the bosy with all things healthy in order to increase metabolism. This method, as she mentions helps relieve stress and also gives you enough energy to burn those extra kilos.
"Make a change in your life to be healthy not because you want to fit into a dress or because you have a party to attend. If you follow the diet plan in the book and can't workout, walk for at least four times a week. Some form of exercise is a must. Strike the 70% diet and 30% exercise balance. This combination helps lose weight," she mentions.
She shared many of her 'special' food items on her social media page and it's perhaps the first time you will get a sneak peek into her personal diet.
She also prepares some wholesome breakfast meals for her son. She says, "What you feed your child is very important. I am against aerated drinks and packaged food. What you teach your child to eat at this age is what he/she would end up growing up with."
She also shared a recipe for the same on her Instagram page.
She also shared her love for fish and perhaps inspired a few others to opt for a lifestyle change.
Kundra reportedly does yoga for about 45 minutes to an hour, at least thrice a week. And to loose all that baby weight, she also hit the gym and shed close to about 21 kilos in just three months!
