In the first trimester of the pregnancy, women can enjoy all the positions, play with sex toys or explore new exciting to heat things up in the bedroom. As you move towards the last trimester, you need to be wary of the positions due to the big belly. The side lying position is the best to choose this time. Sitting at the edge of your bed or women on top or any position that doesn’t put pressure on the belly are advisable.

Have regular sex

Have regular sex

While many must have asked you to avoid having regular sex during pregnancy, the fact is until your body is not ready for labour, there should be no long gaps between your sex sessions. It helps prevent a premature delivery and helps you become more tolerant in bearing the pain.

You go through massive mood swings during pregnancy. If you don’t like any activity during sex, tell your partner about it. Open communication is the key to a happy relationship and a smooth delivery.

Don't blow air

Don't blow air

When you’re having oral sex, your partner must avoid blowing air into your vagina. An air bubble can block your blood vessel and can cause a dangerous embolism, which could be life-threatening.

Be wary of Breast leakage

Be wary of Breast leakage

As you enter into the second trimester of your pregnancy, your breast starts leaking which might not go well with your partner. Rather than having arguments and getting irritated, stop having sex for a while and indulge in foreplay to please yourself.

Avoid the missionary position

Avoid the missionary position

Once you reach the 20th week of your pregnancy, you must avoid sex positions, which require you to lie on your back such as the missionary position. By lying on your back, the enlarged uterus puts pressure on your aorta that might stop the blood flow to your placenta, which is not a good thing to happen.

Say no to anal sex

Say no to anal sex

Anal sex involves penis and the anus, which is full of bacteria and if you have vaginal sex, post this, your vagina might get infected with the same bacteria. If not suddenly, you may start feeling sick some hours after anal sex.

Don't have sex if you are in pain

Don't have sex if you are in pain

Sex should be avoided in the cases of placenta previa, a condition where the placenta grows over the cervix. The bacteria can also travel into the cervix if your water is broken so its important for you to stop having sex at that time to have a normal delivery.
