Her secret to getting that pre-baby body back
In an interview to Momtastic just a few months after the birth of her daughter Krishna Lakshmi-Dell, (now 5), Lakshmi revealed that since she had to return to the limelight soon after delivery, she made sure she ate right and was disciplined about her workout.
But she also added a disclaimer admitting that she couldn't have immediately bounced back to her pre-baby body within days and it took a lot of work, belief and patience.
"I can’t expect to look immediately the way I looked before. It is about feeling good about yourself and being healthy,” she said.
She even shared a picture of herself working while breastfeeding and gave a shoutout to all working mothers who juggle their mummy-duties with work.

How Padma Lakshmi got her pre-baby body back
In the same interview the supermodel and mum to five-year-old Krishna explained how with just a few changes in her lifestyle and with the addition of this one physical regime, she was able to get back to her pre-baby body.
“I needed to make sure I was healthy. I was breastfeeding and I wanted to be good at my job and that involves tasting food. I couldn’t worry about my weight and taste everything on the show,” she said.
Lakshmi reportedly took up boxing and cut back on excessive food indulgences. Apart from these changes, she did a very simple thing, which is reportedly resorting to taking 70 flights of stairs every single day and adding weight-lifting to her daily regime.
She is also a very conscious eater and recently launched her own range of frozen organic rice and lentils, which can be cooked in minutes. The yummy-mummy even shared a video of her new line on her Instagram page adding that it can be quite helpful for working mums everywhere.

Two simple ways you can lose post-baby weight
If you are thinking that adding boxing to your daily exercise routine might be a tad bit difficult, then how about these two simple steps that can bring you back to your post-baby self!
- Kapalbhati: The ancient art of yoga, which includes a very powerful and effective exercise called Kapalbhati can come to your rescue when it comes to shedding extra kilos. This exercise removes toxic air and toxins from the body, thereby, gradually reducing all that body weight.

- Ginger water: Another remedy that can come to your rescue is hot ginger water or adrak ka paani. This simple desi remedy is great for quick fat burning and also increases metabolism and most importantly reduces cortisol, which is a steroid hormone.
While Padma Lakshmi continues to give us major health goals, we are sure that after trying these two simple remedies even you can get your post-baby body back in no time.
