It seems like there are double celebration times in Saif Ali Khan’s household.
If last year on Saif’s birthday, the family must have been looking forward to welcome Kareena’s baby; this year the family is overjoyed to welcome another addition as sister Soha is expecting her first baby with husband Kunal Kemmu.

The delight was visible on everyone’s faces as the family celebrated Saif’s birthday. While sister-in-law Karishma Kapoor posted pictures of birthday boy Saif cutting the cake.
Sister Sara Ali Khan posted a picture of herself looking glorious in a blue gown. And guess who was seen giving special attention to Soha’s baby bump. It was none other than Saif’s children from his first wife Amrita Singh.

Both Sara and Ibrahim not only posed with Soha but Sara was also seen beamingly holding her bua’s bump bump. The family bonding moment made for a cute photo opportunity and also showed that both the kids share a great rapport with their bua.
Though we couldn’t spot the current cutie of the family Taimur in the picture, mum Kareena looked stunning in an all black outfit.

What came as a refreshing thing to see was that despite some recent reported difference of opinions between Saif and his ex-wife Amrita regarding Sara’s career choice, the children seem to be mingling well with the entire extended family. Amrita remained absent from the pictures but her lovely kids more than made it up.
Sara has been getting used to the paparazzi these days as ever since news of her starring in director Abhishek Kapoor’s next film began floating she is being photographed everywhere from her gym outings to salon visits.
While Sara has been maintaining a low-key stance in public, it was nice to know that the young girl values family bonds just as much. So, as the family awaits another royal arrival, here’s wishing them all our very best.
How to involve the older kids in important family moments
Teenage years are particularly the time when kids want to do their own thing and start valuing their friends’ circle more than the family outings. While it is a normal phase of growing up it is a good idea to involve growing kids in family moments so as to ensure they remain as attached to the extended family.
- Create events in consultation with them: Instead of just informing the young adults in the family to be present at certain family events try involving them in the planning. Give them importance by asking if they will be free to a certain date and time.
- Execute duties to them: Make them feel like an indispensable part of the family by asking them to perform important duties such as booking the cake for a family birthday or taking charge of the guest list.
- Create memories for them: Ask them to maintain an album of the important events and even caption them as a keepsake. This way you are gently tutoring them to feel a part of the important event that is happening in the family and they will start valuing it just like you.
