Remember Rohit Roy? The handsome actor who stole our hearts in superhit Mahesh Bhatt serial Swaabhimaan.
After his blockbuster debut, the dashing actor did some really powerful roles in the films Shootout at Lokhandwala, Kaante, and Delhi Heights besides numerous other popular television shows such as Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand and clearly became a household favourite.
Rohit Roy is married to popular actress Manasi Joshi Roy, sister of actor Sharman Joshi, and the duo recently completed 25 years of togetherness. In fact, the couple went on their first date together on May 23, 1992 and to commemorate the occasion the actor wrote a heartfelt post on Facebook along with an adorable picture of the two of them.
Rohit met Manasi 25 years ago when he was working as an assistant to Shashi Kapoor's son Kunal Kapoor. Manasi was a top notch model at that time and he asked her out for a date on his scooter.
"On the 23rd of may 1992, I asked this gorgeous, young model out on a date. I had met her only a couple days before through a common friend. She was a top notch model n had been given the title of 'the face of the nineties' and I was a lowly ranked assistant to Kunal Kapoor ( son of the legendary Shashi Kapoor) .. Happily n surprisingly, she obliged me without much of a fuss (must have earned some brownie points at our 1st meeting
?) and off we went on my scooter to the Shiv Sagar Restaurant (coz that's all I could afford on a kingly salary of 1500 rupees a month )," wrote Rohit.

May 23rd, 1992 was a day that changed his life forever as he met the love of his life, says Rohit.
"We ordered a Ganga Jamuna (mash up of orange and mousambi) for her n a mango milkshake for me! Must have spent a couple of hours there but those were the most eventful hours in my life. Those two hours determined how we would spend the rest of our lives! That day, unbeknownst to me, or her, for that matter, I met the love of my life.. a woman so beautiful inside out that she took over my life and every aspect of it without me even realising it," he adds.
Now after twenty-five years of their first meeting, Rohit's life starts and ends with Manasi and he can't imagine a day without her.
"It's been 25 years today and my world still starts and ends wither. Thank you Manasi for being my all.. for creating a world so true and pure that God sent an angel to us! Thank you for being the 'correct' one in our relationship and not erring even by mistake ! Thank you for all the sage advise over the years (and yes even for the whacks on my posterior when I erred!) I might have been less or more successful without you but I wouldn't have been a better man without you and that's for sure ! Love you, from then to eternity," he adds.

The couple has a daughter Kiara Bose Roy who is all of fifteen now. The couple is surely setting new relationship goals for all of us and clearly, we can pick up a few tips from them.
- First of all, compliment your partner and not only on special occasions but also on normal days to make them extra special.
- Love notes and messages are more expensive than the costliest things in the world and you should be leaving a note or two for your partner every now and then, just like Rohit.
- Remembering all your special days and not just anniversaries and birthdays is another way to make your partner feel loved.
