When you have a little toddler in the house trust him to keep you on your toes. Running after him for food or just to get him to sit at one place can become a difficult task. And it's certainly not a different story for famous parents.
Second-time parents Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh were recently clicked running around their elder son Riaan, who will turn two on November 25, this year.
The adorable toddler, who seem to be growing up pretty fast is seen running after something that caught his attention, while his parents smile lovingly at him.
Riaan is a doting big brother
Riaan recently became an elder brother with the arrival of the Deshmukhs' younger son Rahyl on June 1, this year and has been giving company to his little brother. Admitting to the same, the doting dad revealed, "Riaan absolutely dotes on him. It is good to see that kind of bonding. Sometimes, when I look at them, it makes me wonder if I was like that as a kid?”
The private couple has more or less kept their boys away from all the media attention, but only recently shared the most adorable picture of Rahyl on the occasion of Riteish's mother’s birthday. They also shared a picture of the entire family at their ancestral home in Latur during Diwali celebrations.
A message for Indian parents
The couple who are often questioned about their parenting style are always cautious of spreading the right message. In fact, in an interview once Deshmukh said, "It’s totally upon them what they want to become in their lives. It’s their choice. As parents, we should not decide what our children should become. I want my kids to decide their future."
Well, it is clear that this couple's actions speak louder than their words and their recent picture of letting Riaan run across the streets is also sending out the message that it's all right to give the freedom they so deserve.

5 dangerous things that are good for kids
It's obviously not a good idea to voluntarily put your kid in danger, but some dangerous things actually prove to be quite educational.
- Let them stand on unsteady objects: Yes, you read that right. Whenever my niece stands on a chair at a restaurant, everybody around us looks at us as though we have just asked her to jab a knife up her throat. It's perfectly fine for them to learn a little bit of physics on their own. After all, you are there to hold them when they are about to fall, right?
- Get into water bodies: Of course, letting them dive into rivers is not the brightest of ideas, but having them swim a bit in a pool is not a bad idea. Most babies are natural swimmers and with a bit of supervision, you can actually help them remember this life skill.

- Go camping with friends: Most of us parents are way too scared to let our little ones go camping or even stay outdoors. But that's actually a great idea (with precautions, of course) to let them enjoy nature, see the world around them and also make new friends. Parents can obviously be the camp managers for the night!
- Let them fight: It sounds a bit destructive, doesn't it? But what a little sparring can do, no counselling can. It's human nature to fight for things we love, and this is also an instinct very much present in kids. In fact, many intelligent animals fight out their problems. So let them spar once in a while! Not always.
- Let them go barefoot: In India, out tradition dictates that we visit temples and even roam around the house barefoot with the logic that all hot energies in the body are absorbed by the earth, making us feel relaxed. So use this age-old logic and let your kids go barefoot from time-to-time.
