Research says people posting inspirational quotes on Facebook are dumb
Study says there is a link between low intelligence and being impressed by so called ‘profound’ quotes
Are you one of those people who likes to plaster your Facebook wall with inspirational quotes sourced from the internet? Well, then the findings of a recent research may irk you a bit.
A study published by psychologists from the University of Waterloo says that those who post or share motivational quotes on social media are dumb and “have lower levels of intelligence.”
The research says that there is a link between low intelligence and being impressed by so called ‘profound’ quotes.
Researchers found that those who were unable to discern a ‘bullshit’ statement and found them to be profound were less intelligent.
So the next time you are tempted to post something 'inspirational' on your Facebook wall, just wait a minute, think if it's actually worth posting and only then go ahead.
