Reema Lagoo's death is a big loss for Bollywood...

Just yesterday we shared the shocking news that Bollywood's favourite maa Reema Lagoo passed away after a massive cardiac arrest. While there were quite a few celebs who mourned her loss, her onscreen beti Renuka Shahane, who played her daughter in the superhit film Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, posted a touching message for her.

Shahane says that she was in awe of her as she thought that Lagoo was an outstanding actor. "What an immensely powerful actress you were on stage! I was in awe of you....a huge fan," she wrote in her moving ode to the popular Marathi and Bollywood actress who breathed her last on Thursday.

Shahane also mentions that while she was playing her daughter in Hum Aapke Hain Kaun she would often joke with her that she wasn't suited to pay her daughter as she was so beautiful.

" 'मी नक्कीच looks department मध्ये Anupam Kher वर गेल्ये" (You don't look like me... you look like Anupam Kher)'... You would laugh full throatily at this comment, slap me playfully and say "काहीतरीच काय!"," writes Shahane.

Shahane once got her camera to take a few pics of Lagoo on sets.

"Once I got my camera and asked your permission to click your photos in black & white. I wanted to take a picture of you in the mirror. You were thrilled with the photos....but they didn't do justice to your beauty.....And the Hindi films you did didn't do your immense talent justice....and life hasn't been just in snatching you away so early! I'm sharing the black & white photos I clicked with a very heavy heart.....the last thing I wanted was to share them as an obit to you. Rest in eternal peace my beautiful Reematai," she summed up her Facebook post.

RIP Sasumaa, says Supriya Pilgaonkar

Lagoo's onscreen daughter-in-law Supriya Pilgaonkar also tweeted a heartfelt message for her. The duo became a rage in the 90s superhit sitcom Tu Tu Main Main where they played saas-bahu.

Pilgaonkar further added that she was shocked and at a loss for words.

“I am at loss for words. Reema was a superlative actor… just amazing. Whichever role she did, it appeared as if it was cut out for her. We worked together for so many years. I saw her so closely. She (Reema Lagoo) was an avid reader. I always felt she should write and direct," she told a leading newspaper.

Pilgaonkar also mentioned that while she played a typical desi mother on screen, in reality, she was way different than that.

“Reema Lagoo did live life on her own terms. She was a very strong woman," she said.
