Rani Mukherjee's daughter Adira is like a doll, reveals sister-in-law Jyoti

"My children are so excited that they have a new sibling. Adira is like a doll to them, they love to pamper her," she revealed

Rani Mukherjee and husband Aditya Chopra have so far managed to keep their baby girl, Adira, out of the spotlight since her birth last December. While not much has been spoken or written about her, especially from the family members, it is for the first time that Mukherjee’s sister-in-law has spoken about the new edition in the family.

Speaking to the media during the launch of her line of eco-friendly, recyclable designer wear, Jyoti reportedly said, “Rani’s marriage, Rani becoming a mum, I just can’t express the feeling. I have been married for 15 years, and she’s like a sister to me. For her to have a baby is like me having another baby. My children are so excited that they have a new sibling. Adira is like a doll to them, they love to pamper her.”

Mukherjee, as is well known, has largely been reticent about her marriage (2014) and her new role as a parent. But this statement seems to have given her fans an opportunity to get closer to her bundle of joy.

In fact, her fans have made sure to very much keep her alive in the public eye by means of posting her recent pictures. Case in point is her trip to Paris for her second anniversary and her pictures from the latest Swiss trip.

Yash Chopra Immortalized by Switzerland With His Statue…. Yash Chopra, the legendary filmmaker lives on through his eponymous work in people’s hearts. His lens lovingly captured the breath taking locales of Switzerland for decades. Now the Swiss government is honouring him with a special statue, as a mark of gratitude and salutations. The statue was inaugurated on Wednesday. A sculpture made of pure bronze, and weighing about 350 kilos, will present Yash Chopra in an iconic pose of him directing a film. Chopra, who opened a legacy of South Asian tourists flocking to Switzerland, loved to spend time there. Natural beauty and warm hospitality mark the association that his banner Yash Raj Films shares with this country. This statue will be installed at the heart of Interlaken, inside the KURSAAL area, near the Congress Centre. A prime, popular spot with tourists, the statue will remind many of the cinematic splendor that Yash Chopra had created for this picturesque nation. While many ministers and senior bureaucrats from the Swiss government attended this inauguration, Pamela Chopra and Rani Mukerji were also present for the occasion. The event was organised by Interlaken Tourism and Jungfrau Railways. This is not the first time the filmmaker has been honoured in this way. The government of Interlaken awarded him the honorary title of “Ambassador of Interlaken” in 2011, and Jungfrau Railways named a train after him – an honour shared only with the railway’s founder, Adolf Guyer. In addition, the five-star Victoria Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa in Interlaken named a suite after Yash Chopra. #yrf#pamelachopra#ranimukerji#india#switzerland

Mukherjee accompanied her mother-in-law Pamela Chopra, to the unveiling of a statue in honour of her late father-in-law and producer, Yash Chopra.

Swiss honour Indian filmmaker Yash Chopra with statue. Yash Chopra’s statute flanked by his wife Pamela Chopra and actress Rani Mukerji. A statue of a renowned Indian filmmaker, the late Yash Chopra, was unveiled in Interlaken on Wednesday. Many of Chopra’s films featured Switzerland as a backdrop, and he is credited with boosting the popularity of the Alpine nation among Indian tourists. The 350 kg statue, which now stands in Kurssaal Garden in the central Swiss town of Interlaken, canton Bern, is a replica of the one in Chopra’s film studio in Mumbai and was unveiled by his widow, Pamela Chopra. Chopra’s daughter-in-law, the Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji – who also featured in his films, such as the highly successful Veer-Zara – also attended the ceremony. The event was organised by Interlaken Tourism and Jungfrau Railways. #Yrf#PamelaChopra#RaniMukerji#Swiss#India#Interlaken
