If there is anybody who knows your mother well, it has to be you. Isn't that right?
You know what gets her ticking, what keeps her calm and what makes her smile. You've had several years of training after all. Just kidding!
But on a serious note, since you know your mother well, you will also know the kind of partner she would want for you. And it seems doting beta and the most good looking lad of B-town, Ranbir Kapoor knows all about his mum's choice (for him) as well.
Neetu Kapoor won't be a pushy mum-in-law
Kapoor who is famously close to his parents is also aware that his mother will not be a pushy mum-in-law. In fact, he recently admitted that all his mothers wants is to see him happy and settled with a girl of his own choice.
While speaking to a daily about his marriage plans and his parents become in-laws a second-time around, Kapoor said that his parents were not pushing for an arranged marriage.
"When I do get married, why will I hide it? There were a lot of reports suggesting that my mom flew to London to look for a girl for me. There is no such thing of an arranged marriage," he said.
His clarification came on the lines of a rumour that suggested that Neetu and Rishi are in London to meet a close family friends and possibly to look for a bahu.
Neetu and Rishi looking for a bahu secretly?
A source told a leading daily, "The London visit could very well be for a meet and greet with a well known family in London for the actor’s marriage. Though nothing is confirmed as of now, but time will tell…”
The entertainment daily also added that a family friend told another daily, "When Ranbir’s mom half-seriously suggested that he should marry a girl chosen by his parents, Ranbir shocked them by agreeing."

Well, who knows, perhaps Ranbir Kapoor may also tread the same path as Shahid Kapur in the near future.
Kapur was famous for his bachelor antics, but as soon as he got married to Mira Rajput, who was chosen by his parents, he transformed into a family man and now a doting father.
Either way, it is quite clear that Kapoor's parents are not pressuring him to 'settle down' in a marriage and that his mum is certainly not going to be a pushy mum-in-law.
Plus, given the fact that she herself sacrificed her career for her kids, she would understand and support her bahu. But only future will tell the real tale. However, one thing is clear, celebrity or not breaking the ice with the in-laws is often a pressure daughters-in-law are thrusted upon and if you are also wondering how to go about it, here's our lowdown.

3 ways to break the ice with the in-laws
- Be honest: This trait goes a long way in not only breaking the ice, but also in further cementing the relationship. Your in-laws will be there for the rest of your life, so it's better to be who you actually are in front of them. Be honest with your ideas and thoughts and do not lead them on into believing that you're somebody else.
- Be appreciative: After all your in-laws are your spouse' parents and they deserve equal respect and appreciation as your own parents. If they have done something for you, there is no harm in appreciating their effort and letting them know you acknowledge their good deed.
- Be adjusting: Let's not deny the fact that a marriage needs a lot of work and not only between two partners, but also between two families. So either way, both parties will have to adjust for the marriage to be a success. Therefore, it's a good idea to adjust and give in wherever needed.
