New dad Shahid Kapoor is having a blast with his two leading ladies. Here's proof!
Looks like Shahid Kapoor's little missy is the one enjoying the most of this 'daddy time.'
Actor and new dad Shahid Kapoor is currently enjoying a well-deserved family vacation in London. Having worked through most of last year, post the birth of his baby girl, the 36-year-old actor has finally taken time out for his two leading ladies.
And it seems his little missy is the one enjoying the most of this 'daddy time.'
In fact, the doting dad gave his fans and followers a glimpse of just what he is doing in London. He posted a few adorable pictures of Misha trying to run towards him and even playing football, all on his social media handles.
Little Missy is loving her first family vacation!
Kapoor's adorable little bub will turn one on August 26, and is all set to celebrate her first big birthday in a foreign country with just her family and their closest friends.
In fact, mum Mira recently revealed why the family decided to fly out for Misha's first birthday and why she doesn't intend on calling any big names to her birthday.
While revealing the exact details, Mira shared, "I really liked how we used to have birthdays when we were young. It was really small and intimate. Just very simple and that’s how both Shahid and I want to do it for Misha.”
The young mum added that she was actually planning a small picnic with just family members and no celebrities.
“I think we are going to go on a picnic. I think we are going to be travelling at that time with family. We just want a small little picnic in the park with my sister’s kids and my parents and Shahid’s parents and something that we remember,” said the new mum.
A low-key first birthday for Misha
The mum also pointed out the actual reason she is not interested in making it a high profile affair.
“I think birthday parties at such a young age, the child itself doesn’t know what’s happening and it gets very boring. I don’t want to put her through that and neither does Shahid and I think it’s a memory that all of us are going to enjoy. We are not going to be worried if she’s okay or if she’s getting scared. We want to celebrate her birth and keep it simple,” she explained.
Meanwhile, the baby girl is busy learning new things and playing with her doting dad. But we are sure the way her parents are planning her low-key birthday, she is going to have a lot more fun as well.
Plus, Shahid and Mira remind us again to not be apologetic about celebrating one's baby's first birthday, and whether it is low-key or extravagant, new parents shouldn't be afraid to experiment. After all this day won't come back again.
3 fun first birthday ideas
If you're wondering what theme to go with, do something fun this year and try the following:
- Storybook wonderland: Open the floor for kids to come dressed as their favourite storybook character. You can also have a reader in the party and a section where he/she reads famous wonderland stories to the kids and perhaps even puts up a skit.
- Automobiles, trains and paper mache: You can never go wrong with environment-friendly paper mache toys for kids to make and play with. You can set a competition for the kids and even the parents and award them with small prizes at the end of the party.
- Masterclass and decoration: Baking is not everybody's piece of cake. But it can be a lot of fun if you organise a masterclass for your guests. Ask them to make cookies and cupcakes with their parents and take what they make home. Plus, add a few goodies you made yourself to the basket.
