The recently concluded Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai saw a bevvy of celebrities walk the ramp for the fashion designers of their choice. However, the real stars at the fashion extravaganza were our yummy mummies from Bollywood and abroad who literally stole the show from everyone else as they strutted their stuff on the ramp.

Lead by our very own Kareena Kapoor, who walked the ramp just 46 days after her delivery, the four-day fashion event also saw International model and Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi walk the ramp for designer Tarun Tahiliani.

Single Mommies Sushmita Sen, Malaika Arora Khan and Karisma Kapoor also had their style game bang on and proved that they have all it takes to compete with the younger models.

Kareena Kapoor

Kareena Kapoor

Walking the ramp just 46 days after her delivery, Kareena Kapoor Khan showed the world that a woman can be extremely comfortable in her post-pregnancy body as well. She walked the ramp for designer Anita Dongre.

"Many might look at [motherhood] as an excuse to hide, just because they aren’t in the best shape. But I am not one to get conscious with skinny models around. What I am [doing] requires courage and I have the confidence to pull it off. In India, women are conditioned to hide themselves away till they get back to the ‘right’ size. I feel it’s fine to be out there. Everyone knows I have just had a baby. I may not be size zero right now but as long as I look great, I can take that walk," she said after the event. We agree with every word, bebo!

Sushmita Sen

Leading the single Mommy brigade, was the gorgeous Sushmita Sen who looked resplendent in a lavender gown crafted by Hyderabad-based designer Sashi Vangapalli.

Karisma Kapoor

The dazzling Karisma Kapoor gave other models a run for their money as she gripped the limelight for Arpita Mehta's show at the LFW, which was interestingly also telecast on Instagram at the same time.

Padma Lakshmi

India's first supermodel and Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi looked regal as she walked the ramp for popular fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani in a beautiful creation from his latest collection Chashme Shahi .

"While trends come and go, I think a woman who has true style is someone who’s timeless. Someone who’s able to blend things she acquired around the world over her lifetime and mix and match them with ease. Most of the interesting women I know don’t have a lot of time to primp and get dressed every day so they develop their own sense of style over the years and their personality comes out in their clothes," she said as she interacted with the media later on.

The 46-year-old model, who's daughter Krishna is 6 years old, also said that she doesn't mind being a single mother as her loved ones help her all the time.

"I guess I’m technically single but I have a very big circle of loved ones who contribute to Krishna’s upbringing. It is hard to balance everything but that would probably be true for any mother. While I’m single, I don’t feel alone and neither does she," she said.

Malaika Arora

Malaika Arora Khan looked every inch of the diva that she is as she walked the ramp in a lehenga for designer Divya Reddy's collection 'Shahibzadi'.

Deepika Singh

Soon-to-be mommy Deepika Singh, who's in her second trimester now, also walked the ramp in a gorgeous saree and she looked rather comfortable in it as she posed for the shutterbugs.
