Do you end up clicking dull photos? Here are 21 hacks to make your photos look vibrant!

Today, the world speaks through photos. We end up clicking and sharing photos and videos every day! What more, every one of us has a camera on us all the time. However, do a few friends of yours end up getting better pictures using the same camera than you? What makes their photos more appealing than what you click right now?

Worry not mums, here are 21 hacks to capture your family in an awesome pic!

Before I begin, ensure that you have done two things:

  1. You are saving the photos on the memory card instead of the phone memory (Gives you more space to save all those brilliant pics)
  2. You have turned the quality of images from normal to fine (or the best possible option)
  3. The resolution of the image is the highest for your phone (Most of the phones nowadays have an 8 MP camera)

Hacks

# 01 For a selfie, hold the phone away and above your head. It will not give you a double chin!

#02 Ask someone tall to take a selfie, and you stay in the centre of the photo with your kid in your hand. Your photo will turn out to be great!

#03 Use the volume buttons of your cellphone to click images!

#04 If you are clicking a photo of your kid in front of a lot of other colourful things, click it in Black and white. This will take away the focus from the surroundings and on to your kid.

#05 While taking photos and videos, hold the phone horizontal. Thew will play better on the TV

#06 To capture the best photo of your kid, adjust the phone so that he is in the centre of the screen. Leave some space on top of his head and to the sides. This will help you click the perfect picture!

#07 If you are clicking a photo, use natural light instead of flash if you can! The photos look more colourful.

#08 If you are indoors, NEVER click a photo in front of the window during the day. The face would turn out dark. Instead, you stand with your back to the window. The photo will turn out to be amazing!

#09 If you have to use flash, stand about 3-5 feet away from the subject. That way, the flash is not too bright and not too dim!

#10 NEVER zoom! Digital zoom is just like zooming a photo after it is clicked! Crop the photos later instead

#11 Always wipe the lens of the phone before you click. The photos turn out to be brighter.

#12 Use grid lines. These are the vertical and horizontal lines you see on the screen. (go to settings and turn on grid lines). This will help you take a more upright photo.

#13 Align the vertical gridline to your standing kid. If he is sleeping, use the horizontal one.

#14 While capturing kids, sit down on your haunches so that you are at their eye level. That helps you capture the best photos.

#15 If you are preparing for a photo shoot, avoid citrus foods/drinks within half an hour of the photo. This will make you face look less sweaty

#16 Always dab the forehead before going on stage for a marriage function. All the halogen lights make you sweat a lot!

#17 Don't close your jaw tightly. Keep it open slightly with your mouth still closed. Your smile would look better!

#18 Instead of capturing a photo on WhatsApp or Instagram, capture it with your phone. That way, you always have the original full resolution photo with you. These apps may compress the photos and make them smaller.

# 19 When you are clicking the photo of a big family, arrange the tallest members to the periphery. Let the short ones stay in the middle. This gives the photo a good effect!

# 21 When you are taking a selfie, Hold the camera as away from you as possible. It will not make your face look too round!
