While there is a general perception that star kids are born with a silver spoon, the truth is far from that. Not only do these celeb children have to go through a lot of media speculation, there are also constantly compared with their star parents.
The one star kid who is now under the media scanner is Jhanvi Kapoor. Since the day it was announced that she would be taking up acting as a career just like a mother, the critics are out criticizing her for her looks, style, and other things.
However, Jhanvi's father Boney Kapoor seems to be a little worried about her daughter and this is why he has come to her rescue to shield her from all the negative criticism. Kapoor has also confirmed that his daughter Jhanvi would indeed be making her debut with a Karan Johar film. Here's what he said about her daughter's debut film.
"Yes, Karan has been talking to us about a film for Jhanvi and we’ve given consent. But we don’t know which project it would be. Since Karan has recently acquired the remake rights of Sairat it is being presumed that our daughter would be launched in this project,"he said in an interview to a prominent newspaper.
But like any other dad, Boney is a little worried that her daughter would be under the media hammer for every little thing that she does.

So, while he has no problems with his daughter's career choices, he just wishes that Jhanvi doesn't go through this one thing that all star kids go through, which is a constant comparison with their parents.
In Jhanvi's case, she would have to double the effort as she would have to match her mother Sridevi's acting and dancing prowess. Perhaps this is the reason why Kapoor is a little worried for his little girl Jhanvi.

“I see in my daughter the same focus and concentration on her chosen career as her mother. It’s never easy for star kids to make a place for themselves as they are invariably compared with their legendary parents. I hope Jhanvi won’t be compared with her mother, though," he said.
Raising confident and successful daughters
Now that's something only a father can think about and we totally agree with every word he has said. Father's share a special bond with their daughters, but sometimes they can be a little overprotective. Here are three ways in which dads can raise confident and successful daughters.
1. Make her feel confident: Demonstrating your faith in her abilities boosts her self-esteem, preparing her to
defend herself when confronted with sexism.
2. Talk about gender equality at an early age: First of all, you yourself should be aware of gender inequality. That way, you can help prepare your daughter to stand up for herself when confronted with sexism in the future.
3. Communicate often: You want your daughter to be comfortable enough to call you up whenever she needs advice. Foster an open dialogue.
