Have you seen the radiant Sridevi and her daughter Jhanvi Kapoor in this regal getup?

Have you seen the radiant Sridevi and her daughter Jhanvi Kapoor in this regal getup?Have you seen the radiant Sridevi and her daughter Jhanvi Kapoor in this regal getup?

The stunning Sridevi and her eldest daughter Jhanvi, 19, posed for a picture during a wedding in Delhi in Manish Malhotra ensembles

Over the course of four decades, Sridevi has given us many reasons to fall in love with her. Whether it is her power-packed performance, her dancing skills or her fashion sense, she has always been at the top of her game.

And now it seems that she is passing on the baton to her lovely daughters Jhanvi, 19, and Khushi, 15, who have become social media sensations in their own right. And why not! Both of them are as gorgeous as their mum and have an inherent sense of inimitable style.

And if you have any questions about that, take a look at this recent picture that was posted by ace designer Manish Malhotra and has the lovely mother-daughter duo Sridevi and Jhanvi setting the frame on fire.

The picture was taken at a wedding, for which the entire Kapoor khandaan had flown down to New Delhi.

Sporting Manish Malhotra ensembles, Sridevi was in a chikankari anarkali, while Jhanvi sported a rose gold lehenga and bespoke pieces by Anmol Jeweller.

Jhanvi hitting the silver screen

Needless to say, while Sridevi always looks breathtaking, it was Jhanvi who stole the limelight and seems all set to scorch up the silver screen, a dream that she has harboured for quite some time.

In an interview about her daughter's desire to be an actor she said, "Which child is not interested in acting? Every child wants to be an actor. And there is nothing wrong with that. But it is not an easy job. It requires a lot of hard work and dedication. If they are ready to put in that effort, then why not?"

As rumours of Jhanvi prepping to enter Bollywood do the rounds, Sridevi's youngest daughter seems happy being an Internet sensation. She also accompanied her mum and elder sister Jhanvi to Delhi and looked just as bit regal.

Continue reading to see how Sridevi dressed up her younger daughter and why she will remind you of her mum's Sadma look.

Youngest daughter Khushi, a star in the making

If you thought only Jhanvi had the traits of becoming a star one day, think again. because Khushi's inimitable style will force you to take a closer look. The 15-year-old who also accompanied her family to the wedding, sported a Manish Malhotra ensemble and looked quite like mum Sridevi.

Doesn't she remind you of a much younger Sridevi?

She certainly looks a lot like her mother and is a very popular personality on social media. Often sharing quirky pictures with her friends and family, she has become one of the biggest Instagram stars in India, and quite an influential one too!

Khushi's advice to all the critics

In fact, she even faced criticism for her pictures, but gave it back in a long and subtle Instagram post. "I truly believe everyone is beautiful in their own way, why can't we all celebrate that and encourage each other. There is only one of you, embrace your beauty, and don't rain on my parade when I'm confident enough to embrace mine," read a part of the post.

I post my pictures because I feel good and confident. I put out these pictures not because I want to show off or try to be anyone or anything else. I have my own sense of style and my own way to think and me putting out a picture that's accessible to so many people is taken more of an opportunity to judge me or my looks, clothes or anything else. I put something out there because it's something I feel good about, everyone is entitled to have their own opinion but putting someone else down because of it is not making you any better of a person. Please think twice before you decide to comment something rude or offensive, it's not a joke. It's sad how in this day and age where feminism is finally getting the attention it deserves, girls still feel the need to tear each other down and indulge in body shaming. I don't care if you think my stomach pops out or if I don't fit into your idea of beautiful, but for your own conscience please realize that having such narrow minded opinions of people makes you an ugly person inside. I truly believe everyone is beautiful in their own way, why can't we all celebrate that and encourage each other. There is only one of you, embrace your beauty, and don't rain on my parade when I'm confident enough to embrace mine. I hope that whatever it is that frustrates you enough to be so cruel will one day go away, because some people might actually take your snide remarks seriously, and I know from experience it can hurt. Let's be kind to one another, love always x

The fact that both of Sridevi's daughter are confident and seemingly prepared to deal with criticism reflects on their confident upbringing. Something that almost all modern parents are doing for their kids.

Sridevi's modern parenting

Her approach to parenting is pretty much what most modern parents have adopted and one that involves a "joint effort" by both, mother and father.

"I want my children to enjoy themselves. They go to their friend's houses; have them over to play, but they know their limits. I generally don't have to tell them "don't do this" or "don't do that". Yes, they are very much aware that they are celebrity children. They are proud of my achievements, and proud of the fact that their father is a film producer. They love watching my movies and the movies produced by their Dad... but that is normal. They are very down-to-earth; not spoilt at all! As for parenting decisions, it's a joint effort," she revealed in an interview.

As for her close relationship with her daughters, she finally added, "Daughters are like friends. We enjoy going shopping together, be it clothes or household goods!"
