Most of us love some inspiration to get up and get going in life. This not only keeps us focused on the goal, but also stop us from cheating ourselves!

Parineeti’s tremendous weight loss of 28 kgs is no secret. But we usually see the final output and forget to take notes of the journey.


Now Parineeti, completely believes in losing weight the healthier way rather than going under the knife or starving to death! She found a hack to her lower metabolic rate that made her gain weight very easily. She also almost gave up on Sugar!

Parineeti used to weigh 86 kgs, but when she realised that she couldn’t flaunt good clothes and not get a perfect fit, she stood up and took charge of her healthy weight loss program. She didn’t shy away accepting the weight issue, and instead always shared her story to media to inspire others as well.

Parineeti’s weight loss secret!

In one of her interviews, she had quoted “I am a 25-year-old and there is no reason for me to look fat. I want to look great. I am taking care of myself and I am losing, even more, weight because I want to look better.I was sick and tired of clothes not fitting and having limited options on what to wear.”

Apparently, she spent Rs.10 lakh to achieve her body goals! According to an industry insider who spoke to DNA India, Parineeti signed up for a detox program in Austria.

The source mentioned: “Under this program, the patient has to undergo several tests in order to determine what his or her body can tolerate. Depending on that, a diet chart for six months is drawn, which the clients have to strictly adhere to. And it costs between Rs 5-10 lakh for a 15 to 30 day- course, depending on the program… Pari’s expectation before taking up this new regime was that she wanted to fit into hot clothes. And she has got her wish.”


Parineeti’s love for pizza is very well known by her closest people and during the weight loss journey she had to let go of pizza completely. Her diet is extremely simple and consistent. She made sure she does not leave any scope for cheating.

Paineeti’s current Diet:

Breakfast: A glass of milk, brown bread with butter, two eggs whites, juice.

Lunch: Dal and roti, brown rice, green salad and green leafy vegetables.

Dinner: Low oil food, one glass of milk and sometimes a chocolate shake. She also makes sure that she eats her dinner at least two hours before going to bed.

Here is the exercise regime she swears by:

  • Morning jog
  • Meditation
  • Yoga for an hour
  • Involving into activities like swimming and horse riding
  • Running on treadmill
  • Using dance moves to poof out those extra calories along with polishing her dance skills

Simple exercises for a healthier you

For all those parents, who barely get any time for themselves and unhappy with how their waistlines are growing constantly, here are 5 easy exercises that you can follow irrespective of where you are. I’ve followed this even in a big office washroom!

1) Basic Stretching
We have this tendency to start running around the moment we wake up. Best is to wake up with a smile and stretch like a cat even if it is for 5 minutes. The early morning stretching not only wakes up completely, but also prepares the body to function at its best.

2) Stairs vs Lift
In this world of convenience, we like to use shortcuts and want everything to happen in a jiffy. In a world of rickshaws and cabs, we barely end up walking or strengthen our calf muscles. Try using the stairs instead of the lift whenever possible.

3) Losen Wrists
We end up over stressing our wrists and hands the most. Whether it is cooking for your little one, cleaning up or sitting on the computer. Give your wrists a break and twirl them after every few hours.

4) Squats
Now this can literally done in 2-3 min! You could also use the washroom if you feel shy during office hours. 15-20 squats and 3 reps will really make a difference in no time.

5) Dance
If you are not the exercise kind, dance is your answer. Dance like no one is watching. No choreography is needed. This will not only help all the parts of your body to move but also make you happier.
