Television's funniest guy Krushna Abhishek and his gorgeous wife Kashmera Shah, became proud parents to twin boys via surrogacy two months ago. However, at the time they were unable to take them home.
The twins were reportedly born premature and had to be kept under observation at a Mumbai hospital. But now it seems that the new parents are not only all set to make their boys comfortable at home, but have also zeroed in on their names.
"Fatherhood is a different feeling"
The couple who were living in together for eight years before marrying in 2013, have made some serious decisions about their kids who are now the centre of their world.
And who better to share the details than the happy father himself.
The excited actor who is currently busy with his new show The Drama Company spoke to a leading daily about his new role as a father and needless to say couldn't help but divulge details of his twins' name.
"I've become more responsible. I've never been an actor who relies on his producers. I've always been in such a position that I can walk off anytime. I never had the fear of a show not working or being ousted from it. But after having kids, I get that feeling. I'm no longer as carefree, there is a fear that keeps me in check," he shares.
As for being able to see and hold them in his arms Abhishek said made him extremely emotional. "I got very emotional They are such cute kids," shared the new dad.
First alphabet derived from their own names!
Abhishek also finally shared that one of the twins' name would start with the letter 'K.' This may seem natural to the couple since both their names begin with the same alphabet.
The couple's decision to have kids has also made another family member very excited and happy. And it's none other than maamu Govinda.
Speaking about the newest additions to the family the Hero No. 1 actor said, "I pray to God that Krushna's kids always stay happy. I called up Krushna and asked where are the kids right now and he told me that they are in the hospital right now and we will call you when they are back home."
Govinda also added, "And that time I was just laughing and felt like telling him that when you were born, I took you to Vaishno Devi on my shoulders and now you will do the same for your kids, then you will have an idea about the value of love."
Well, with so many family members excited and happy about the newborns, we are sure they will come home soon.
But for now it seems that the new parents may be busy planning and designing a nursery for the babies. And if you are too, here's a lowdown on some of the basic things you'd need in your baby's nursery.
3 practical items you need in a baby's nursery
- Bigger cribs: Just as Bebo and Saif have done up their baby's nursery, you can also invest in a crib that opens into a bed once your baby is old enough to craw or walk. In case you decide to repurpose an old crib, make sure that it is redone to meet all the safety standards. Once you've selected the crib for your little one, the next big step is to invest in some good bedding. Be sure to buy cotton sheets that are breathable and do not irritate your baby's skin. Plus, try to keep the bedding as simple and to the size of your baby as possible. It should not feel too overwhelming for him.
- Feeding chair: Not many new mums pay attention to the need of a separate feeding zone or a comfortable lazy chair. This is where you can sit upright and feed your baby. Since breastfeeding must advisably be done while sitting straight to allow easy digestion and fewer chances of reflux by the baby, a chair is your ideal companion.
- Storage cupboards: An open storage cupboard is another essential that you would need. You can add cloth drawers or soft cardboard drawers that you can label for easy access to store your baby’s clothes and diapers. You can also place your baby’s toys or any item that you can store away to keep the room clean and neat. After all, your baby needs space to explore!
