Since his birth last year, Taimur Ali Khan has managed to fascinate and attract more attention than his famous parents. In just seven months, he has floored everybody with his charm and cherubic looks and fans simply cannot get enough of him.
But all this attention is making his family quite nervous, including naana Randhir Kapoor.
The famous grandfather recently shared that while they are happy that Taimur is given a lot of love and attention, too much of it can be harmful for him. And the thought of what it can do to him is making the family a bit jittery.
So they have devised a simple plan to raise Taimur differently because of his unique environment.
Raising Taimur cautiously
While speaking to a daily, Kapoor admitted that Taimur receives a lot of attention, not just from the family since he is the youngest child, but also from the media and several fans.
Whether it is being spotted at naani Babita's house or swinging in his balcony, Taimur is a favourite with the paparazzi and they do not leave any chance to take his picture. And while his parents don't mind that, his grandfather sure is a bit concerned.
That's why they are now being extra cautious about raising the seven-month-old little nawab.
"We all love Taimur so much and we are very being cautious that he doesn’t get spoiled by all the attention that he’s getting (from the media)," he said.
Taimur is not cranky, but a bit naughty
However, the doting grandfather did add that he himself cannot get enough of his youngest and cutest grandchild. In doing so, he also revealed that Taimur is a bit naughty, but he quite calm and chilled out as well.
The 70-year-old who recently came back from a month-long vacation to London shared, “Taimur is now seven months old and ever since he was born, I visit Kareena more often than I used to earlier. I love spending time with my grandkids, and Taimur is the youngest, so everyone is so fond of him. He is not cranky, but a bit naughty and, yeah, smart, too.”
As for his looks, naana Randhir agrees with Kareena who recently said that she feels Taimur looks a lot like her father.
“Ah! That’s [a] godsend, what can I say about it? Whether it’s his blue eyes or his looks, he definitely has the Kapoor genes," he shares.
He also added that all that being said, he is happy and proud that Kareena is such a good mother and is doing the best she can.
After all, she has got a life, too
He shared, “All I can say is that she is a very good mother and she’s not leaving the child behind, but just being a working mother. There’s nothing wrong in it. [Also] what’s the harm if she goes out for shopping or hits the gym? After all, she has got a life, too."
We agree with Kapoor because having a working mother who values her life as well, can have a positive influence on a growing child. Here's how.
- They are positive role models: Working mothers are role models for their kids and teach them not only about time management and multi-tasking but also about the importance of balancing work and home. So through a working mother, girls realise the importance of having a career and boy understand their roles within the house.
- They raise independent kids: When kids watch their mothers handle situations and problems both at home and at office, they realise the importance of being self-reliant. Such kids then grow up to be independent and have their mums to thank for this quality.
- They raise kids with academic bent: Studies have proved that working mothers are able to raise who are also academically good because they are able manage their time well. Working mothers understand the importance of good education and are able to influence their kids to achieve academic excellence.
