We have read hundreds of stories of how Indian mothers-in-law have trouble adjusting to their daughters-in-law and many times we have also come across stories of even celebrities getting along their sasumaas.
In fact, even bahu Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been at the receiving end of her mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan's tantrums and it has been reported that the two don't see eye to eye. Much was written about how Jaya openly criticised Aishwarya on her bold avatar in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
Jaya Bachchan made an appearance at the 18th MAMI Mumbai Film festival and while speaking to reporters over there she made quite a few shocking statements on the explicit scenes that have become an integral part of films these days.
"Filmmakers at that time created art. Today, it's a business and all about numbers. Everything is thrown at our face. People have forgotten subtlety. Open display of affection is considered smart... sharam naam ki toh cheez hee nahi hai (people are no longer ashamed). Now, it's about big collections at the box office, Rs 100 crore films, first-weekend collection...It's all Greek to me," she told the media that time.
If that was not enough while the whole Bachchan Parivaar came in full support to cheer daughter Shweta Bachchan as she turned show-stopper for Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla, no one took Aishwarya's side when she received a lot of flak for ADHM.
But, something just happened that proved that despite the differences, Aishwarya and Jaya also share some heartwarming moments every now and then. Case in point is the recently conducted Stardust Awards night that saw the Bachchans sharing the spotlight with bahu Aishwarya as hubby Abhishek was busy hosting the show.
Some adorable pics have emerged from the event that prove that all's not that bad between Aishwarya and Jaya.

One such pic that is breaking the internet today is that of Aishwarya and Jaya sharing a candid moment at the Stardust awards.
Looks like Ash was really tired after walking the red carpet and collecting the award and needed some TLC to cheer her up. This is when she turned to her Sasuma to find some comfort and guess what her mother-in-law reciprocated. The heartwarming moment was captured in this adorable picture. Have a look yourself:
This just goes on to show that you can actually keep your in-laws happy. In fact, many daughters-in-law have a tough time making their mothers-in-law happy, but it is not that big a task. Here are some tips that can come in handy:
1. Accept her: If you always have a negative attitude towards your mother-in-law, it would be very difficult to have a smooth relationship with her. Accept her with her flaws and give her some time to warm up to you. You also take some time to establish a rapport with her.
2. Be positive: There might be many moments that could cause friction between the two of you, but at such times it would always be a good idea to be positive and take it in the right spirit, instead of finding faults in everything. It would also be good if you just wait and let the moment pass instead of making a mountain of a molehill.
3. Respect her: Never forget that she’s your husband’s mother and deserves just the same respect and love as your own mother. Think hard before you say something harsh to her and analyze if you would have said the same thing to your mother. Believe me, all it needs is a change of mindset.
