Losing a passport or driver's license or an office ID can be a nightmare. Especially since you would be required to file a first information report or an FIR.
While most of us have no other choice, it's a well-known fact that going to the police station for this purpose can be a long-drawn process.
However, with this new app called Citizen Cop, you can now register FIR for your lost passport or driver's license within a matter of 5 minutes.
Here's how it works:
#1 Register the name of your city

Download the app and feed in your city, state and country. It will then take you to a screen that asks you to register a complaint, call the police or file an FIR.
#2 File the compliant

In this section you can feed details of your lost articles. The app asks for the your basic details like Father'a name, address, contact or e-mail address.
It then takes you to a screen where you have to identity the article you have lost. Select whether you have lost a passport, PAN card, Aadhar card or driver's license.
#3 Select the type of lost article

As soon as you fill in these details, your registered FIR will be sent to the nearest police station and you will receive a mail of its copy.

#4 Mark a safe zone

If you explore the app, you will find that you can also call the police or even mark a safe zone for yourself. This app also gives you all the relevant police contact numbers in your safe zone.

There is also an SOS facility wherein you can feed your three emergency numbers.
