She may be married to one of the biggest stars in the country, but star wife Mira Rajput had a different plan for her life. The 22-year-old mum wasn't interested in living the life of celebrity before she married Shahid Kapoor.
In fact, she aspired to do something noble for others, but a rude awakening made her back out.
Yes, you read that right!
Mira couldn't fulfill her dreams!
While Mira recently shared that she wanted to have a career that stimulated her creatively, before her arranged marriage to Shahid Kapoor she was considering becoming a surgeon.
But couldn't fulfill her dreams.
While talking about her career plans way before she married Kapoor, Mira shared that she briefly considered becoming a surgeon. But she couldn't put in the amount of studies and dedication the career demanded.
"I have done a few things when I was in school and college. I've also done several internships. I worked in advertising, too. Initially, I wanted to be a doctor and I even did an internship at a hospital. I was determined to become a surgeon and even saw 13-14 surgeries. But then, I realised that it required a lot of study," she shared candidly.
However, now after her marriage her ideas of a career are quite different.
A different career opportunity for Mira
"Yes, I would love to work, especially in a field that is creatively stimulating, but also allows me time with family. Perhaps something with food, or lifestyle," she shared, adding that she hasn't yet set a deadline because of only one reason- her second pregnancy.
"No (haven't set a deadline), because I am going to have another baby, and then decide," she further added confirming that another baby was on its way soon.
"I want to be unconditional with my love"
Even though the young mum had a
tough first pregnancy she clearly isn't afraid to dive straight into another one soon.
And that's perhaps because she is loving her role as a homemaker and a mum. By her own admission, Mira says that her baby is her top priority and like any mother, she wants what's best for Misha.
"I want Misha to have a childhood like other kids. I wish that she is grateful for all she has. I want to be unconditional with my love, but frugal with privileges," she shared.
Either way, it's certainly Mira's decision and she knows what is best. But while Misha might be loving all the time with her mum at the moment, when she does become a working woman she will set another good example for her little girl.
3 positive effects of having a working mother
- They are positive role models: Working mothers are role models for their kids and teach them not only about time management and multi-tasking but also about the importance of balancing work and home. So through a working mother, girls realise the importance of having a career and boy understand their roles within the house.
- They raise independent kids: When kids watch their mothers handle situations and problems both at home and at office, they realise the importance of being self-reliant. Such kids then grow up to be independent and have their mums to thank for this quality.
- They raise kids with an academic bent: Studies have proved that working mothers are able to raise who are also academically good because they are able manage their time well. Working mothers understand the importance of good education and are able to influence their kids to achieve academic excellence.
