Men who help with household chores more likely to have a better sex life
According to the research, the amount of housework will be based on a couple's own expectations for what each partner should be doing
A new study claims that men who help out with housework are more likely to have better and satisfying sex with their spouses. This study was conducted by Dr Matt Johnson of the University of Alberta in Canada.
As part of the study, researchers studied the sex life of nearly 1,300 couples to find if there was a connection between the amount of household chores men do and the couple’s sex life.
While the results were unable to establish any connection, they found that men who made a fair contribution to domestic chores were more inclined to have a better sex life. The participants of the study were all German.
'In any relationship, the amount of housework is going to mean something different based on the couple's context, based on their own expectations for what each partner should be doing, and their comparison levels of what happens with other couples they know,' states the study.
