"I had a dreamy idea of marriage": Manisha Koirala takes full responsibility for her divorce"I had a dreamy idea of marriage": Manisha Koirala takes full responsibility for her divorce

Manisha who married Nepali businessman Samrat Dahal, after meeting him on Facebook, in 2010 announced her divorce two years later.

Manisha Koirala, the actress who created waves during the 90’s not just with her landmark roles but also with her frank attitude still retains that honest quality about herself. She proved that she minces no words to admit the truth when recently in an interview she took full responsibility for her divorce.

I had a dreamy idea of marriage: Manisha Koirala takes full responsibility for her divorce

Today with a newer outlook towards life and waiting to start her new innings as an actor she shared while speaking to an entertainment portal that the divorce resulted due to her unrealistic attitude towards marriage.

The gutsy actress said: “I take full responsibility for hurrying up and wanting to get married and then realising I am not meant for this. There is no fault from the other side, the fault is mine.”

While Manisha may just be the first one amongst celebs ever to own up her mistake instead of looking for excuses such as circumstances or lack of compatibility the lady also reflected her large-heartedness by saying that she has no ill-feelings.

She added: “I had a dreamy idea of marriage. If you are in a bad relationship; then it’s better to separate. There is no bitterness.”

While failed relationships and divorce is not a rarity in Bollywood, seldom do we come across people who are ready to honestly analyze the situation and speak of their shortcomings.

On another front, Manisha is looking forward to the release of her new film in June, titled Dear Maya. The film will show the actress in a powerful role of a woman struggling to find love and meaning in life.

The actress who has seen some rough patches in her life in the past half a decade including a failed marriage and being diagnosed with cancer and then bravely coming out of it is seeing this as her fresh start on her career.  The actress also plans to adopt a baby girl by the year-end or early next year if things go well.

But with her recent candid reflection, Manisha Koirala proved yet again that she is a boss lady and may have just opened a new floodgate for couples to come out honestly and take responsibility for a relationship gone wrong.

If you too have gone through a separation but are unsure on how to own on your responsibilities these pointers may help you

1.Introspect: Do not shift blames instead take a hard look at the actual causes that led to your relationships’ downfall. Sometimes we get so consumed looking at other party’s fault that we forget to take note how we may have contributed to the situation too.

2.Forgive: Because by forgiving you will be able to forget more readily. In case you have been wronged and have decided to separate there is no point crying over spilled milk. Once you have parted ways look ahead instead of mulling over the past.

3.Be hopeful: One relationship gone wrong does not mean the end of the world. While in the initial few days it will actually feel as if someone took away the ground beneath your feet, it will gradually feel better. Look forward to some of the other promises life holds for you.

4.No mudslinging: Remember even if a relationship has gone sour, there was at one point a special bond between you two. Do not demean what you shared together by talking foul about your partner. In the end, the mudslinging will leave you aching. The better idea is to remember the positives that the relationship gave you and move ahead.
