This Kolhapur couple married 90 metres above ground, hanging from a ropeway!

Zehdir and Reshma, met and fell in love during a trekking trip. Aptly so, they decided to marry in a way they know best and love most- hanging by the ropes!

All couples have different ideas about how they would get married. Some prefer a simple vedic wedding, while others want a more flamboyant celebration. But Kolhapur-based Zehdir and Reshma wanted none of this to stand out from the crowd!

They decided to instead stand high from the crowd, quite literally! You can call them daredevils, because this couple tied the knot by hanging 90 metres from the ground. Why? Well, why not?

Wed 1

Zehdir and Reshma, who are residents of Kolhapur, reportedly met and fell in love during a trekking trip. Aptly so, they decided to marry in a way they know best and love most- hanging by the ropes!

In fact, they carried out the jaimala ceremony and all the other ceremonies, while hanging at a dangerous height of a valley between the Vishalgad mountains. And they clearly did it like professionals!

Wed 2

While the couple hung 90 meters from the ground, a crowd filled with their close family and friends and even onlookers cheered them on. They even had somebody to give a running commentary about the entire event. This was done to keep all the guests abreast with the ongoing ceremonies.

"I wanted to make my wedding different," the groom told a daily.

But of course, like any other sane couple, they attempted this one-of-a-kind wedding with caution and had themselves tied up in safety ropes. Now if that isn't a fun/adventurous way to get hitched, we don't know what is!

Take a look at the video that has them hanging from the ropes, performing the wedding rituals.

Well, we wish this adventure-loving couple all the best!
