Have you tried these kid friendly restaurants in Mumbai yet?

Make your dinning experience a memorable one with these kid friendly restaurants in Mumbai

How many of these have you tried

How many of these have you tried

Dining out is usually a nice, relaxing experience, but let's face it, with kids in tow it can quickly turn into a daunting task.

Fellow diners frowning in disapproval as your usually well-behaved toddler decides to fling cutlery off the table can become the least of your worries.

The list of restaurants that politely inform you children below a certain age are best left at home is alarmingly high. So what if one of them happens to serve your favourite sea food platter? 'I've moved on from that kind of food anyway' you tell yourself, hoist your tot on your hip and defiantly march into the next eating establishment.

But there's nothing on the boring looking menu that your kid will allow within a one mile radius of his mouth, or the solo high chair in the restaurant is broken, the glasses barely fit your hand let alone in your kid's pudgy little ones, and no, the chef cannot adjust the spice on the one paneer item your little prince will deign to entertain on his oversized plate.

Ready to scream in frustration? Don't. It need not be that way. Eating out can and will be fun for the whole family at these kid friendly restaurants in Mumbai. Yes, you heard it right, kid friendly! Start GALLERY.

Smoke House Deli, Lower Parel

The artwork on the walls is easy on the eye for young and old alike. Their especially designed menu for kids has yummy options presented as stickers which kids can remove and paste on a page to show what they'd like to order.

Crayons, chairs which can be adjusted to height and a very cute and fun food presentation should make a meal here a delight for any kid.

Le Pain Quotidien, Colaba

Their kid friendly menu has an array of options, of fairly healthy things you'd like your kid to eat—soups, sandwiches, eggs, cheese, risottos, not to mention a fantastic display of deserts. They even offer the luxury of space and a level where there is a kid's corner for children to play in. Does it get any more kid friendly than that?

There isn't a special kid's menu to speak of but their regular menu has plenty of options that will appeal to children and the child in you—pancakes and waffles, that aren't limited to breakfast but can be ordered for lunch too! The child-friendly staff will also refill your bread basket, offer fresh napkins and cutlery every time your kids decide to throw away theirs.
Pizza Express, Andheri

It is a rare kid that will not love pizza so it is a win-win to start with. But they also offer a set meal for children at a fixed price that has a choice of pizza and pasta, a drink and a dessert, all made to a kiddy size. Top that off with a birthday party where kids can have a go at making their own pizzas.
Mainland China, Tardeo

Attentive child-friendly staff, comfortable high chairs and even a balloon to go. Once you're comfortably settled after that lovely welcome, move on to the menu which is well-suited to both your and your kid's tastes. There are plenty of kid-friendly options to choose from but they will oblige you and adjust flavors if needed.
Swati Snacks, Tardeo

This is the perfect place to head to if you are craving all your favourite street snacks but fear the hygiene standards may not match your kid's immunity. Not only is the restaurant child-friendly, you can binge on all the varieties of chaats and bhels, sugar can juice and pav bhaji. Even the gola is just as delicious as the street version, only this one will be made using bottled water.
Sanchos, Bandra

A great way to introduce Mexican food to your child. Your kid can colour in and scribble on the cute kid's menu to their heart's content. And if they ever tire of that they can even eat some of the child friendly dishes like nachitos with cheese sauce, chicken fingers with a mild mango salsa.
Le Café, Chembur

The menu here is mainly for adults but while you enjoy your own meal in peace you can placate your little one with the cutest of chocolate marshmallow pizzas which comes with a generous sprinkle of chocolate buttons and sprinkles. We must warn you though that there may be a fair bit of mess what with all the gooey marshmallows and chocolate.
Mamagoto, Ghatkopar

The kid's menu at this restaurant is by no means a small affair. It is an extensive spread that includes five different sections that even the most selective of kids can pick from. There are a range of little bowls of soup, mini spring rolls and another favourite with kids, chicken satay with peanut sauce.
