Kerala has become the first state in India to have achieved 100 percent primary education, The Times Of India quoted education minister PK Abdu Rabb as saying.
An official declaration will be made by vice-president Hamid Ansari on Wednesday (January 13).
Rabb attributed this to the primary education equivalency drive of the state literacy mission Athulyam.
The second phase of Athulyam offered a chance to all those who had failed primary education another chance to achieve education qualification equivalent to 4th standard.
It doesn’t stop here. The state now aims to achieve cent percent plus-two education.
Education begins at home
As parents, you must make your children aware about the importance of education. A good way to do this would be by creating an educational environment at home so it instills a desire for learning in them.
