Just weeks after television's favourite bahu Shweta Tiwari and Abhinav Kohli became parents to a baby boy, another high-profile small screen couple seems all set to embrace parenthood. Karan Mehra aka Naitik of Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and wife Nisha Rawal are reportedly expecting their first child after four years of marriage.

Reportedly Nisha is four months pregnant and the couple even visited a hospital in Malad in Mumbai. A source told Times of India that the couple were spotted enquiring about the facilities in the hospital.
"Karan had come to enquire about the facilities in the hospital. Nisha was also with him and her baby bump was visible," the course revealed. Although the couple have not confirmed the news yet, pictures from their social media account are almost confirming this news.
Friends hint at a baby on the way!
In fact, the couple recently hosted their fourth anniversary party which included popular singer Richa Sharma, who congratulated the couple, presumably for their new journey. And, if you notice closely, you can easily see the cute baby bump!
Sharma wrote: "Many Many congratulations to the adorable couple @karanhunt & @missnisharawal and happy anniversary...last night was super fun...Love you both."
This is good news for their fans because right before his entry into the Bigg Boss house the couple were marred by speculations of already being parents to a boy. However, Nisha rubbished those rumours and even addresses the possibility of her pregnancy and how and when they would announce the same.
“Over the past year, there have been a lot of rumors about my alleged pregnancy, Karan and I having a son. Now, I think it's time to put them to rest. Karan and I, currently do not have any children, and we will share our happiness with the world whenever we do," she revealed.
Nisha and Karan's love story
Interestingly, Karan and Nisha have an adorable love story, which he happened to share on the show. He revealed that they first met during the shoot of the movie Hastey Hastey starring his now wife and actor Jimmy Shergill, and hit it off instantly.

Nisha and her baby bump
Although the couple are yet to confirm the pregnancy rumours, chances are they want to keep this news to themselves at the moment and announce it at a time best suited to them.
But if you have been following their social media profile, you've probably already spotted the bump! If not, here are a few pictures of the presumably glowing mum-to-be.
Karan and Nisha maybe following traditions
As per Indian traditions, mums-to-be are usually advised to hide their pregnancy, at least till the first trimester is over. It is believed that a new mum must protect herself and her baby from any buri nazar and therefore, they are asked to hide this good news for sometime.
However, these are just myths. We are sure, this modern young couple will share their good news in due course of time.
For now, since these are just initial days of the pregnancy, there is a lot to look forward to. And, given their celebrity status, we are sure they will surprise their fans and follow in the footsteps of actors like Shweta Tiwari and Genelia Deshmukh to opt for a maternity shoot.
Dos and don'ts of a maternity shoot
If you are also in this beautiful phase of your life, you should also start prepping for a shoot that will immortalise this beautiful period. We spoke to ace maternity photographer Shikha Khanna, who had some great suggestions for a maternity shoot.
"The baby bump is evident from five months onwards but I always suggest that the shoot be done in eight month when the mom is up to it and still not very uncomfortable but and the same the time looks like full pregnancy bump," she begins.
She also lists some basic dos and don'ts one must keep in mind during a maternity shoot.
Dos of a maternity shoot
- Try and do it around the eight month
- Would be great if both the couple do it together
- Keep it simple and moments based
- Book it in advance so you can prepare better as last minute decision can just be more hectic during this time
- Choose comfort clothing verses elaborate dressing up
Don'ts of a maternity shoot
- Don't push it to the ninth month
- Don't try to go hungry just because its shooting time
- Don't choose a dangerous location your own house is good
- Don't wear very tight or very loose clothes
