There is no denying the fact that Kajol Devgan has ruled the silver screen for the longest time. She has often been touted as one of India's most successful actors and continues to be at the top of her game even today.
She has also been a firm advocate of the importance of working and on several occasions reiterated her stand on why having a working mother is a great education for kids.
In an interview to IANS Kajol, 42, said, “I honestly think it’s very educative for children to have working parents, and to have a working mother mostly, because that’s where the influence comes on the girl child.”
Adding that she felt that when her daughter would see her mother work, she will also understand that it is important for all women to stand on their own feel.
"I feel that my daughter hopefully will understand that when she sees her mother go for work… when she grows up, she will realise that it’s important for her to work as well for her own independence and development," she said.
But as all mothers know, managing a home and work can be quite difficult, especially since most Indian women are pressured into being the official cooks in the house!
However, Kajol has come up with the perfect solution for this and she reveals that with this simple thing, she is able to balance her work-life, and manage a pretty happy domestic life!

Kajol's perfect solution
In her appearance on the new show Vogue BFFs along with her friend and makeup artist Mickey Contractor, Kajol revealed that while she "vaguely" knows how to cook, she makes sure that nobody goes hungry in her home.
Let's all agree this is the one problem every working woman faces. A common routine of most working mothers include waking up early, cooking for the family then heading to work and then coming back to cook again.
But Kajol has the perfect solution.
When asked if she knew how to cook, she said, "Vaguely. I have every restaurant on my speed dial, I know how to give instructions to my cook! I will not starve, in other words."
Now that's really the best idea!
Indian women are already pretty bogged down thanks to juggling their demanding careers and household responsibilities and the last thing they need is to come back tired to cook. Or for that matter, even women who work all day at home are met with expectations of being the 'perfect cooks.'
Let's adopt Kajol's amazing idea once in a while. After all, being a mother doesn't mean you are not allowed to take a break from this 24x7, 365-day job!
