Shocking! Jealous aunt throws 18-day-old nephew from 30ft windowShocking! Jealous aunt throws 18-day-old nephew from 30ft window

The horrifying incident happened in the wee hours of the morning, when Sarita Yadav took the baby out of his room and threw him off a 30ft window

In a shocking incident that will probably make you cringe with horror, a jealous aunt threw her 18-day-old nephew off the third floor balcony of a private hospital in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

The baby was being treated there for septicaemia and surprisingly, it was this very aunt, Sarita Yadav and her husband Satish, who had brought him for treatment. The couple were entrusted with the task of admitting the baby to the hospital because his mother was unwell and needed his father's care.

The horrifying incident that occurred sometime between 3.30 am and 5.30 am, was caught on tape and Yadav was later handed over to the police. Take a look at how she literally throws the baby off the 30 foot window.

Culprit caught on tape

Yadav comes out of her room with the baby wrapped in two towels. She keeps one towel on the cemented railing and carries the baby in the other to the right side of the building.

She carries the baby to a safe distance where she feels nobody is watching her. Don't miss the towel, she is still holding the 18-day-old baby in it. Once at a safe distance, she throws the baby and comes walking back, nonchalantly.

You can still see the towel in which the baby was initially wrapped. She carries the towel back so nobody suspects her.

As you can see, there is no baby in the towel. She picks up the first towel, she initially kept on the railing and folds it to look like a baby. Then wraps the black towel (in which the baby was initially wrapped) over the other towel and walks right back into her room.

What happened to the baby?

After Yadav threw the baby, thinking that it was dead, Pankaj Katiyar, a ward boy heard the baby's cries. He reportedly ran towards the place he heard the noise from and saw the baby lying on an iron grille.

The baby was then quickly admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital and is now thankfully, recovering with minor injuries on the head.

Soon after, the woman was arrested and she told the media and the police that "It just came to my mind and so I flung him off the balcony. I do not know why I did it. A voice told me to do it and I followed it."

But her husband, who was also the guardian of the baby is clearly in a state of shock and didn't expect his wife to carry our such a heinous crime.

Shocked by wife's actions

Speaking to the reporters, he said, "I had woken up my sister-in-law at around 3.30 am to feed the baby. I washed the bottle and she fed him. Then we slept but when I woke up again at 5.30 am to check the baby, he was missing. I asked her where the baby was but she said she does not know."

"I immediately raised an alarm and called the ward boy. We searched for him everywhere but could not find him," he added.

Take a look at the video to see how Yadav carried out this crime!
