In response to tweet, railways provides timely medical assistance, milk to 18-month-old
The father of the baby sent a tweet to the railways and the ministry was quick to respond
The Ministry of Railways was prompt in providing medical assistance and milk to an unwell infant in Marudha Express on Tuesday, reports Hindustan Times.
The 18-month-old child was travelling with his parents Gyaneshwar and Satya to a place near Jodhpur. “When I woke up around 4.30 am, I found my son was suffering from fever. I sent a tweet to the railway ministry asking for medical assistance,” the report quotes the father as saying.

He immediately received a reply promising medical attention at Etawah station. At Etawah, a doctor came to examine the baby and a bottle of milk was also provided. Gyaneshwar said that railway officials too enquired about his baby’s health at regular intervals
The child’s mother was thankful to the railways for timely assistance.
Ticket traveller examiner (TTE) Virendra Singh Thenua said that he learnt of the problem after he was contacted by a railway official after which medical assistance was provided to the child.
