The whole country was shocked on hearing about the sudden demise of Bollywood’s favorite maa, Reema Lagoo. However, the one person who has still not recovered, and would perhaps always miss her, is her daughter, Mrunmayee Lagoo.
In an exclusive interview to a leading entertainment portal, Mrunmayee says that she was not ready for her mother’s death.

“It’s too soon to talk about her at length. It hasn’t sunk in yet. It was very shocking. My mother was my best friend. I was not ready. Frankly, I could never have been ready, “said an emotional Mrunmayee.
Mrunmayee further adds that the void cannot be filled by anybody.
“The void cannot be filled by anybody ever. All I can hope is that her soul is at peace and she has gone to a place where she has a better existence than she had here,” she said.

Mrunmayee got married to Assistant director Vinay Waikul in 2014. She herself has worked as a script supervisor in many leading films such as Dangal, PK and Gulaab Gang. She was also an Assistant Director on Aamir Khan’s popular show Satyamev Jayate.
Meanwhile, Amul paid a tribute to the legendary actress in its famous style and reiterated what the whole nation was going through after her sudden death.
Moving on after the death of a loved one
Death of a loved one can be devastating. While none of us can measure the pain that Mrunmayee is going through, one has to embrace reality and come to terms with the hard truth.
1. Leave it on time: Death is a big loss, therefore, take your time to overcome grief and accept reality. Don’t suppress your emotions and let your heart mourn the loss till the time you’re at peace with yourself.
2. Don’t blame yourself: Many-a-times we’re still in a period of disbelief and start blaming ourselves for the tragedy in one way or the other. Accept the fact and take your time to come to terms with it.
3. Share your grief: It’s understandable that many people choose to be alone when they are bereaved, but it would be a better idea to let out your feelings and ask for support from your friends and family members, especially after the funeral and other ceremonies are over. The more you share your feelings, the better you’d feel.
