Sushma Swaraj is killing it on Twitter and not just by her witty tweets and remarks, but by the remarkable way she has helped many people, NRIs and others, when in distress.
On August 4, Swaraj came to the rescue of another couple, who were all set for their honeymoon to Italy when the wife lost her passport.
Faizan Patel, a Mangalore-based photographer, tweeted on August 4, days before he and his wife were to go to Italy on their honeymoon, that his wife Sana Fatima Khan lost her passport.
Two days later, Sana still had not found her passport and Patel decided to go to Italy anyway, "without his honey", hoping his wife would soon find her passport.
Yesterday, he tweeted from the plane, with a picture of his wife on the seat next to him, tagging Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj in this tweet.
However, believe it or not, Swaraj replied and told Sana and Faizan that help is on the way.
And hours after the incident Swaraj just tweeted to Faizan saying that a duplicate passport has already been issued and Sana would get it by tomorrow.
Surely, other ministers can take a lesson or two from Swaraj and the way she is using social media to help Indians all across the globe.
