This video of a mother brutally beating her OWN 18-month-old son would send chills down your spine!

This video of a mother brutally beating her OWN 18-month-old son would send chills down your spine! This video of a mother brutally beating her OWN 18-month-old son would send chills down your spine!

The woman's in-laws have stated that such beating sessions have been going on for a very long time.

Days after a CCTV footage saw a day care caretaker thrashing a 10-month old baby girl, a shocking video is trending right now that shows a mother mercilessly beating her own eighteen-month-old son.

While the culprit at the Navi Mumbai daycare incident was the caretaker, what's shocking is that in this case it is the baby's very own mother.

The family belongs to Delhi and in the video, Shabnam, the mother is seen brutally thrashing, slapping and stoping her toddler. Shabnam's in-laws have filed a case against her in the National commission of women in Delhi.

The mother might be mentally unstable

Media channels report that police officials interrogating the case believe that the woman is mentally unstable and looking at the video we can also say that only a mother who's lost her mind would beat her baby so mercilessly.

Speaking to CNN News 18, Swati Maliwal, chief of the Delhi Commission for Women, said, "It is absolutely inhuman and shocking and the moment we received a call on our 181 helpline we immediately visited the baby's home and procured the CCTV footage. We then forwarded the case to the Delhi police and recommended them to file an FIR against the mother."

The in-laws have also stated that the beating sessions have been going on for a very long time, despite their warnings to the mother.

The in-laws allegedly also approached various authorities but no one came to help them and this is when they finally approached the Delhi Commission for Women. Perhaps, this is the reason why they installed CCTV cameras to get evidence against the mother.

"We have also insisted them to seek help from the Child welfare committee coz the baby can definitely stay with a mother like that. We are also trying to investigate why this mother is behaving in such a brutal and inhuman manner. You cannot behave like this with anyone's child and in this case what's shocking is that it is the woman's own baby. The DCW has immediately taken action in this case and would pursue the matter unless the child is in safe hands," she added.

Watch the video to see how can a mother be so heartless and inhuman. We would also like to warn you that this video contains quite a few disturbing scenes. It's definitely not for the faint-hearted.

Continue reading on the next page to know why spanking your kids is not the right thing to do!

Why spanking should be the last thing on your mind

As parents of toddlers there are many trying moments when you feel helpless and often end up hitting the child, hitting can actually do more harm than good for your baby:

1. You teach them that it's okay to hit smaller kids: When you hit your child, you in a way show them that it is okay for an adult to hit someone smaller to them. This means that they might imbibe the same behaviour from your and later on use it on weaker or smaller kids.

2. It only ruins your relationship with your child: If you end up hitting your child quite often and for every small reason, your relationship with the child might be dented forever and the result would be that your child would grow apart from you.
