Kareena Kapoor Khan has always known what it feels like to be a celebrity. She has been privy to stardom since her birth and now even her son Taimur Ali Khan is following suit.
He is photographed everywhere he goes and people just can't seem to get enough of this adorable bub. “He gets clicked wherever he goes, even when I’m not with him and all those popping flashbulbs make him blink," Kareena shared recently.
Interestingly though, it looks like mum Kareena doesn't mind that everybody wants a piece of her baby.
"Because you want to share your life with people"
While talking to Filmfare Kareena explained why she doesn't mind sharing pictures of Taimur on social media.
"I do understand that. But I just don't want him to be looked upon as a star kid. I want him to grow up as normally as possible. I want to let him be just the way he is," she explained.
The 36-year-old mum further added, "In today's times, everyone is seen and is out there. You post pictures on Instagram, on Facebook... because you want to share your life with people. Everyone is posting pictures of themselves at different events, in different outfits, tagging people..."
"He's going to be photographed, so be it"
"I guess nobody can say this is private and this is not anymore. Because everything is pretty much out there," she also added.
The Jab We Met star also admitted that this was a conscious decision taken by her and husband Saif.
"When I was pregnant, both Saif Ali Khan and I had spoken about this and how we'd handle it. He was like there's nothing to hide. He's our child and this is the way it's going to be. He's going to be photographed, so be it. It's convenient for stars when they want to be clicked... like at events while putting on makeup, wearing an outfit... and so on. So why hide your child? We're pretty open and clear about it," she shared.
In fact, a while back even Saif shared a similar opinion and said that it wasn't possible for them to hide their baby.
"I don’t plan to hide him. We will have a tough time figuring out how to bring him up. I think Taimur is already a bit of a popular chap. So, I think we will have to teach him to be grounded, as people will watch whatever he does," he told a daily at the time.
In doing so, Kareena perhaps is making celebrityhood normal for her son, which in turn will help him better understand his parents' profession. No wonder then she even took him along for her first movie shoot as well so he can see what his mum does.
Let's be honest, having working parents can positively influence kids in many ways.
- Working parents are role models: Working mothers are role models for their kids and teach them not only about time management and multi-tasking but also about the importance of balancing work and home.
- Working parents encourage independence: When kids watch their mothers handle situations and problems both at home and at office, they realise the importance of being self-reliant. Such kids then grow up to be independent.
- Working parents encourage an academic bent: Studies have proved that working mothers are able to raise who are also academically good because they are able manage their time well.
