Here's why bahu Aishwarya ACTUALLY rushed home after a star studded event

Reported cold vibes between Aishwarya and Shweta Nanda were not the only reason Aishwarya refused to attend Shah Rukh Khan's get together!

Just a few days ago, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan graced the red carpet for Vogue Woman of the Year Awards. Looking breathtaking in a black embellished floor-length gown, the Bachchan bahu took home the Vogue Influencer Of The Decade award.

But what made bigger news was what happened post the award ceremony.

Reportedly, close pals Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan decided to throw an impromptu get together post the awards and specially invited Aishwarya.

However, she refused to go for a very emotional reason, unlike her sister-in-law Shweta Bachchan Nanda who chose to attend the after party.

"She is very conscious of her duties as a mother"

A celeb who was invited to the show told an entertainment website, "Post the show, Gauri and Shah Rukh invited everybody over to their after-party at Mannat. While Karan, Kaajal and Shweta agreed to go, Ash declined politely."

The sourced added, "She is very conscious of her duties as a mother and it was already very late. The next day she had to drop Aaradhya to school in the morning. The actress is very organized and likes to plan her daughter’s day around her."

"Aishwarya has always been a hands-on mother ever since her baby’s birth and likes to spend as much time as her as possible," the source added.

The daily also reported that even on the day of the awards she made sure that she fed Aaradhya and put her to sleep before she stepped out to fulfill her professional commitment.

"On that day, Aaradhya was with her while she was getting ready in the room, fed her dinner and put her to sleep before she stepped down for the event as it started very late," the source was quoted as saying.

Aside from Aaradhya, Aishwarys also chose to give any social gatherings a miss because of her husband Abhishek.

"Abhishek wasn't there with her"

"Ash is spending lots more time with Aaradhya as she will soon get busy with Fanney Khan from October. So every time she comes to an event, it’s post settling her daughter, who is always with her. Another reason Ash didn’t go to Mannat was because Abhishek wasn't there with her and she usually attends parties with him. While it's not that the actress hasn't gone to parties without him, it's just that she loves spending as much time with him as possible and would rather be at home with him than at a party,” the source stated.

Incidentally, the source added that while most guests present at the do came to greet the Bachchan bahu, there was one person who didn'tsister-in-law Shweta Bachchan Nanda.

Tensions between Nanad and Bhabhi?

"Yes, it’s true that Aishwarya’s sister-in-law Shweta Bachchan was seated at another table and didn’t come to greet her. But one must understand, the Bachchans are a large family and it’s tough to keep up with every family members plan," shared the source.

"Earlier this year when the Vogue Beauty Awards 2017 happened, she had no idea that the Bachchans (Amitabh, Jaya and their grand-daughter Navya Naveli) were coming and she came to know once they shared the show flow with her as Aishwarya were stepping down," the source further added.

Well, it seems that for Aishwarya (as is with all mothers) her daughter is her utmost priority and even other close family members come after Aaradhya. And while it may look as though Aishwarya is overprotective, motherhood is an individualistic responsibility and every mum handles it differently.

If you like her too, here's why you shouldn't worry about what others say:

  • It's your child: Let's get one thing clear, since you are the parent and it is your child, you have to right to decide how to raise your child.
  • It's about safety: If you do not feel keeping your child with a nanny or even with a family member and feel the need to be present with your baby for most part, there is nothing to feel guilty about. You will also learn the tricks of parenthood as you go further along in this journey.
